Windows Rolled Down

I don't know if any of you TSXers have this problem but when you have the windows rolled down, do you guys hear some kind of thumping noise created by the wind. It seems like my ear drums are gonna burst. If you do experience this, is there anything to stop the noise.

Rolling down just the rears? Yes that happens.

Open the fronts or sunroof to remedy issue

There is a name for it (the wind reverberating around) but i can't remember off hand what its called but yes. And even at certain speeds if you have the rear windows down and the moonroof popped, it will occur again. Like cmschmie said, just crack another window or open the moonroof all the way or more than just popping it up and you should be fine.

Well they aren't for wind as much as they are for rain but i'm not sure. It may change the angle in which the wind enters the car but my gut feeling would still be that the wind is still entering in the car the same speed. Therefore the wind will reverberate within the car the same amount. So i don't think it would make a difference but maybe some one with them can chime in as to whether or not they have the wind thumping.

Yep that is it!!! That is what poltergeist's link shows too. Although the way they describe it in the Service News sounds right. They said ".....air rushing past the rear window opening can generate a buffeting or booming noise that’s hard to miss. This noise is simply the price paid for an aerodynamically efficient automotive design, and it’s similar to what you hear when you blow across the mouth of an empty soda bottle." Not sure about that though....either way, its not a big deal or hard to resolve...lol
