What would you be driving...

What would you be driving if you wouldn't have kids or are planning some in the near future ?

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Euro/TSX, but I'm driving a 4 door because I have a son (almost 5 years old now). If I would be alone or just with my wife I would most probably have been driving around in the S2000. Having said that I must add that I couldn't think of any other sedan (in this pricerange) I'd rather be driving right now...

Well, I dont have kids or plan on any in the next 5 years, but I do haul alot of stuff (home rennovations, skiis, etc). If my wife-to-be already had a sedan, I too would have gotten an S2000. But she has a Saturn coupe, so I felt compelled to go for 4 doors and get the TSX. I do forsee something like an S2000 a few years down the road as a 'weekend car' though.

My wife and I looked also at the S2000, seems to be a poular car. No plans to keep the Civic, so we needed a 4-dr and decide on the TSX. Don't know what's gonna replace the civic though, maybe an RSX-S, or an S2000. I don't like the old lady driving the new cars, she has a habit of backing up into shit.

Uh, its just me and my wife. And I have an s2000. Until Thursday when I get my CG/bodykit/sports springs Euro Accord 2.4. Just time for a change for the more comfy. If things go well for me, I might get something like a 350z in the future as a silly car.

I heard the 350Z still has a lot of bugs to be worked out...mostly with the tranny. Anyone know anything about that? It's a nice looking car though.

Last friday a friend actually stopped by to show off the 350Z. He's got a very nice job working for some car magazine where he get's to drive all kinds of cars. Must say I was very impressed with it's looks, specially the front... Car costs 48.000 euro's here though, so a bit too much for me to have as a second 'fun car'...
I'm thinking of a good second hand S2000 in a year or 2...

Going back to another S2000 wouldn't be bad for me either. Ami wouldn't mind it. She misses that car almost as much as me.

I'm a single 19 yo college student, and i drive a four door tsx because i go on road trips a lot and i wanted something that could carry some people and something comfortable for road trips. That's why i got my TSX. Besides, my brother already drives an S2000 so it would be abunbant for me to get another one.

No kids no plans on kids, no girl to hold me down(at this time)- TSX for daily driving(let's face it it can get ugly where I live in winter) and in 3 years a S2000 or Lotus elise if I can get it and a new house- and keep the TSX for yet another 2 years. At my age insurance on a "sports" car is ridiculous in NYS so a sedan makes sense- in 3 years I'll be 25 so insurance will go down on a "play" car.

No kids in the immediate future here, but I have the live-in girly. Got the TSX because it was exactly what I was looking for. Lived with the Prelude for a long time and wanted something a bit more comfortable with more gadgets. I think if I had the option I would actually have either kept my Prelude or looked around to find a low-mileage Prelude Type-SH. Heh... but as long as we're imagining... I say NSX all the way!

recent college grad with an entry level job, so if I didn't have student loans to pay back, rent, and saving up for a house....I would've gotten either an BMWZ4 3.0, Honda S2000, Nissan 350Z, or an Infiniti G35. I also wanted to live an ordinary life and not have a tight car but have no spending money. The only problem with these cars..(except the s2000) was that if you wanted to load it up, you were looking way past 35G's. Thats why I made the sensible choice and scooped up a fully loaded Accord for ten grand less.....I figure in 5 years when I move up the corporate ladder, I'll get the car I really wanted in the first place.

u guys make me feel like S2000 is about the same price range as TSX? I love TSX for sure, but I just don't think I can afford one. Expecially there's $15K cdn difference or $12KUS.

If I am allowed to pick a 2 doors in the same price range, I would go for RSX-S or Accord Coupe 6MT.

You'd take a SL600 over a SL55?? I prefer the raw brute of the 55 over the smooth 600, but hey that's just me. One of my buddies has a SL55 and we test drove more then a few SL's Fun cars, but for the money I would be all over a RUF 911 turbo.

if I didn't have a kid now. I would probably be owning a couple different cars for myself instead of just two... children suck up a lot of money each month--day care alone for my one kid is $1100/month and at $1100 that is a nice car payment or two for that matter.

G35 for me and maybe another car of some type...Being a little bit more realistic, MB SLs are out of my league at least for now --even with a 1100 extra to play around with I can't afford it... and the insurance ooo boy that's gonna be expensive...

Since I wouldn't be making the sacrifices for the kids (sports, clothes, gamecube, bikes, $80 sneakers, etc.) I would have significantly more discretionary income.

My choices would include:
Mazda RX8 - the rotary is such a smooth engine
BMW M3
350Z or Infiniti G35 Coupe

Probably throw in a BMW K1200GT as well.

Actually, I got my TSX based on the idea of not having kids... see I figure in a year or so I could have my GF pop one out then auction it to pay of the TSX. Maybe we could even score some twins and get a start on the downpayment for that MDX I've been wanting.
