headlight flicker

My headlights seem to be flickering now when i first start the car at night and begin to drive... I hate the fact that i keep goin back to acura to have things replaced but i wonder what this could be. I hope its not from some kind of drain on battery. I notice it more when my phone charger is plugged in but after like 5 min of driving the flickering stops. I have looked up other threads but none had the part where the flickering stops after some driving...

The random flickering has been documented in a few other threads. I experienced it a couple of years ago. It turned out to be a bad bulb - they do go out over time. The dealer service dept has a bulb tester to determine if it is actually the bulb.

Hopefully it isn't the ignitor or other components as those are more expensive.

they were covered with the regular bumper to bumper, but I think they might be excluded on the extended, which doesn't make much sense. Its worth looking into for sure; the bulbs aren't cheap.

regarding bulb - it was NOT "officially" covered under the original warranty. I know because I had a huge fight with my dealer over it. They ended up replacing under good will.
Also, the socalled bulb tester is somewhat of a joke. They showed it to me. It's just another bulb on the end of a wiring harness. They can plug it in without removing the bulb. Doesn't really prove much if flicker is intermittent. To th OP, if it only happens on startup and you are thinking battery voltage is culprit, have you tried turning on lights without starting car? That would put biggest drain on battery. That said, my bet is the bulb.
