Bridgestone Pole Positions (all seasons). I've had them 3 years now, I believe.

You can look up reviews on www.tirerack.com. Also, there are many threads in the Tires, Wheels, & Suspension forum.

I personally went with YK520's...they are Yoko's with a treadware of 520 which is crazy for a low pro tire (IMO). A year later, they still look damned good...handle well and are not loud.

I would 2nd the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position High Performance All-Season.

I replaced the OEM Michelin about 15,000 miles ago and I find these tire generate less road noise, provide better grip, treadwear is a little more than the Michelin OEM, and have a very cool tread design.

Unfortunately, we don't get a lot of packed snow or ice in Albuquerque. In any other weather condition, the Bridgestones have performed outstanding.

I bought Goodyear GTs and drove with them cross country. They're still doing great in the LA rain

I would 3rd the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position High Performance All-Season. I had it on my 1st gen TSX before I sold it, they were grippy but more comfortable and less noisy than summer tires. Plus it can (probably) handle a bit of snow being all-season tires.

Dunlop SP Sport Signature. They're great all season tires. I get about 50/50 sun and rain during the year in the bay area and i have no complaints.

I don't a snow tire here in Az...

has anyone use dunlaps signature or signature sport ? Thats what a local discount tire is recommending over the yokohama that wore out too quick.... they are giving me about $280 credit towards my next set. So I need to pick something that discount can get.

thx I'll chk out the ones mentioned here...

Just ditched the Yokos myself...they tracked the road horribly, stiff as hell, wore out in 28k

Anything you get will be better. They are nice when fresh but just dont perform once worn. The pole positions are nice if you want to stick with something performance oriented.

I went with the Bridgestone Turanza's (serenity) and they are much smoother and quieter than the Yoko's, and dont give up a ton of traction...you can still rail corners and it doesnt feel like a noodle.

but the pole's are nice if your dont care about the ride as much.

what about Continential Extreme Contact DWS 's ?

On tire rack they get almost a 5 stars on the reviews.

Anyone try them before ? I just want a quite tire that handles well too. It's my wifes car and she might drive fast but she doesn't hot rod the car.

thx Tim

went from stock Shitchellin to Yoko YK520. hav about 30k on the yokos .. worn already .. my rear (recently rotated to rear ) have 4/32nd on them and the front have 6/32. So not really 60k like they warranty for. I'm planing to switch to Bridgestone Potenza 960 Pole position.

Thats why I'm posting here, our yokos are pretty worn after 30k, and since they had a 60k mile warranty when i bought them I'm getting a credit from discount. BTW they don't have a 60k mile warrenty when bought new anymore.

Best I ever got out of a low profile tire before this was 27K miles...actual. But I'm lowered so there was SOME camber wear. I like that the inside and outside of the yokos have diff. tread and are an overall great tire. My previous tire was Kumho Ecsta AST's...and they were awesome as well!

imo ..
can't go wrong with:

Bridgestone Turanza w/ Serenity
Bridgestone Potenza 960AS Pole Position
Michelin Primacy ( The only michellin i recomend )
Continental's new ExtremeContact DWS looks promising, the tread design almost a copy of Bridgestone's Turanza w/ serenity

switched the OEM Michelin tires at 74,000 miles with Yokohama Avid V4s tires-hate them-road noise, lose traction on wet pavement and gas mileage went down. Now have almost 98,000 miles.

Has anyone personally compared both of these tires? I'm torn. Consumers rates the turanza serenity extremely high for its quiet ride and traction. But it probably will reduce mpg slightly due to its rolling resistance.

People also seem to be extremely happy with the pole positions (on tirerack as well), but I'm curious which tire will give me a quieter more comfortable ride? I'm sure they both grip better than the OEM michelins, but I'm interested in noise/ride quality. Does anyone have first hand experience comparing them?

Turanza: grand touring tire
960 A/S Pole Position: ultra high performance tire

The Turanzas are more of a regular touring tire, and the pole positions are a little more geared for performance. I'm guessing the Turanzas would be slightly quieter, but honestly, I have not had any noise or ride problems with my pole positions. I highty recommend them.

I am in the same boat. I am deciding between those two as well. I also share your same concern with noise/ride quality. I have 60k on my 04 with the original tires and the road noise is starting to get unbearable. It also seems like the car is a lot bumpier and not absorbing as much of the road anymore. LuvmyTSX has had the Poles for a while and everything I hear about them is good so I think I am leaning towards them even if the MPG is a little less.

It's almost impossible to objectively evaluate ride comfort. I imagine we'd be happy with either tire over the Pilots. I'm not a demanding driver, so I'll probably lean towards the "serenity" due to its reputation as a quiet tire. But I definitely hear you regarding the stock tires. Every bump is loud and jarring, not to mention the deafening road noise.

if you're looking for comfort, go with the serenity. performance go with the pole position. As you might see, most of us on this forum are performance minded folks. serenity will be more quite than the poles as serenity has 5 degree noise reduction on the tire, handle well in the wet service due to having Uni-T and hydro evac design on the walls of the tread pattern. again , can't go wrong with either of them. Im going with the poles once my Yoks YK520 are worn.

even one of my buddy who has the YK520 on a 07 toyota solora said his is worn down by 32k.

I'm all for performance, heck my Z06 uses a 325/30/19 rear tire on a 12" wide wheel. But for the Acura, I want a tire that handles well, but isn't really loud on the road. The yokos we have seem abit loud.

umm you must be driving the wrong car and tire. OEM comes with michellin energy mxmv or something like that. michellin primacy is michellin's best touring tire.

I have Continential Extreme Contact DWS on my 2004 TSX. Great tires. I would consider the DW since you live in Arizona.
