Acura TSX 2008 with Navigation / Automatic

Does anyone know what’s on my front windshield?

I just bought this car and I don’t know what is on my front windshield…wires are connected to it and tucked into the front headliner of the car.

I’m not sure if it belonged to a previous dash cam or if it’s part of the alarm system or gps system or what??

Your help would be appreciated



Located right about the rear view mirror on the front windshield. Wires connected to this are tucked into the headliner.

 

Definitely not OEM. Did you trace the wires?

 

The wires are tucked under the headliner on the driver’s side but I’m not sure where they trace to?
I took a look at both fuse boxes to see if the fuses were tapped but nada.

Mechanic said it was connected to the alarm system but I’m not convinced he knows what the heck he’s talking about.

And i don’t want to pull the wires out because I’m not sure if they’re connected to something important or not??

 

Do you have an aftermarket key fob?

 

That's probably an antenna for an aftermarket remote start unit.

Hmmm. Idk. Trace the wires and see what it goes to, weather it's a module for an alarm or remote start unit or just an ignition wire/fuse.

​​​​​Check to see if there is any lettering on it too. May give insight to what it is by a brand label
