what do you guys think about tinting the windshield with like 50% black.

do they have lighter shades of mirror other than 35% mirror?

50% is not really noticeable, but I want to get rid of road glare from the windshield.

 

let me know if you get that and will be getting pulled over in MD 24/7 ... i would like to know

 

The cops around here are so retarded too, they look right at the windshield and don't even notice the inspection & emmissions stickers missing...

 

Damn smitty, i would be get pulled over 5x a day with that, most cars had that in mexico but 5% and it looked really weird, i like that on yours

Yep... it is crazy... I was so freaked out after I got it done, but it looks badass... Since I got so much glare at night off my beauitful shiney car I figured what the hell.. it is nice.. people try to highbeam me because of the headlights but it doesn't phase me now... besides it hides my VIN number from thieves and makes the inside of the car even darker... Got to protect my car!!.. My dash will never crack.... but seriously the car is alot cooler in temp from the hot sun...

The rest of you can go ahead and hate on it... doesn't bother me, but the reason why you don't like it is because you never tried it or you did not think of it first....:P ... around the rearview mirror there are dot matrix, so i got that vinyled. (sp?)

I have the front tinted to 50% had it on my last car for 2 years. No problems thus far

 

I've had my winshield tinted on my past 4 cars including the CLS I've always had 50% anything more than that I can't see. I've been in a Rustang once at night in the rain. he had 2% on sides and back and 20% on winshield and we couldn't see anything even with the city street lights.

 

50% tint on windshields is very popular in Japan. Lots of people do it over there w/ few problems. I would REALLY like to get my front tinted 50%, but I have two stickers on the front windsield (registration and inspection) and know that it will only cause problems.

I don't think I'd be pulled over for it, but most certainly have issues when the DMV gets a razor out to remove a sticker, and ends up removing some of my tint!

I also got 50% the entire windshield, No problem dus far, But I also had them on my Integra and Talon before the CL-S, only got pulled over and a $60 ticket when a state trooper riding next to me pulled me over in my Integra, since then no tickets, But I am worry about these god damn rocks from the road!!

I have the regi and the inspection on a piece of static cling and put that on the window ... makes it real easy to clean the windshield too

I would probably be asking for it I put that on my windshield. I like the 35% though because it's not too dark but not too light.

 

What happens when someone tries to break in your car and you can't see inside your car.

I've heard from non-Cl owners that no one paid attention to their car when it was being burgularized because it was too dark in the car.

my cl-s is identical to that one ^ above except mine has 20% on the sides and back window.

that Acura car is photoshoped. u think acura takes a picture of a car to put into a brochure, and they dont even digitally enhance the pic?

they darkened the windows. i dont know if they lowered it in photoshop, they prolly just darkened the wheel gap area, and played around with the shadows on the ground ot make it look lower.

 

mine looks pretty darn close to that with no mods
