Angry Tsx Thieves

Beware of the TSX thieves. They hit me and my roommate's car last night + all the TSX in the complex. The cops told us that this was 7th in the last month. Other complexes got hit as well.

I live in upper side of the CT, they might migrate to other states. Pls call the cops if you have seen anything or heard anything.

The whole CSI team was here to finger print the car.

The grill and the light assembly are gone. There were no after market parts missing. All the stuff in the car was not stolen as well including my $350 radar .

The thieves disconnected the horn...my alarm system and broke the rear side driver window for entry. The other cars were 2005 models, which were broken too but the window was not smashed. Maybe 2005 assembly is easy to dissable.

Yep. You have to host the pictures somewhere else and then link to them. Try http://www.imageshack.us A lot of member use it to host pics, including me.

I agree on this x100. I also pay for good insurance. I just worry about mine in the work parking garage.

Sorry to hear that.

Where in CT? I work in Clinton and live in East Haddam (good luck finding my house there though...boonies!). I hope they get caught soon, but if not, I hope they move north and not south !

FYI, I've read that the TSX can be started without the immobilizer chip in case there is an emergency. I'm not going to say how for obvious reasons, but let's just say it is possible to get around the immobilizer unit with some ease. Nothing is theft proof.

Well, it certainly looks like they have a process down since the damage looks identical.

Everyone make sure you don't buy lights from eBay unless you are POSITIVE they have a good reputation!!!

Sorry to see the pics man. I hate car theives

I'm very fortunate in that my car is garaged, but I realize that everyone doesn't have that option. Hope your insurance takes care of everything.

my opinion on this is the solen parts are going to be used for there own cars, looks like they need parts. they knew exactly how to take it out.
i also would like to know why did they need to gt into the car????

Hopefully your insurance company will cover everything, other than your deductible of course. Plus, it means you'll have a claim on your record, which won't help your insurance rates down the road all things being equal. Friggin thieves, I remember how I felt when my car (former car) got broken into. You just feel like some scumbag has been in your private space (which, actually, is exactly right).

I don't think these guys are stealing parts for their own cars -- they're stealing easy-to-steal parts that there's probably a good market for, fender-bender parts that people would likely buy on eBay rather than file insurance for. They've got a system down -- I'm guessing the tail lights are harder/slower to get out without ruining, or they'd have stolen those, too.

Just solidified it for me -- no eBay parts unless they're from AoE or someone like that.

Comprehensive claims usually dont affect your premiums...
