TSX brake job DIY?

TSX brake job DIY?
Couple brake questions... what's the average pad/rotor life (in terms of mileage) for the OEM TSX brakes?
Anyone post a brake DIY yet? If not, perhaps someone could post the service manual pages? Please
What pads are people using/liking?

Going to be doing a brake job this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes afterwards.
And it depends on your driving style, but my fairly aggressive style meant that my rear brake pads only lasted 24k miles and the fronts are getting changed this weekend with 26k miles. The rotors seem to be okay and should easily last the life of my lease.

If your even some what handy with a wrench and have done a brake job or two in the past, the fts. will be a piece of cake. Its a very straight forward simple brake job. If you've never done a brake job before, and/or are equipped with two left thumbs then you'd be wise to have a friend with experience help or bring it to a pro. The rears are fairly simple, but turning in the pistons on the rear calipers may be confusing, in particular if they don't move super easily.
IMO- if you have to be glued to a book/web site while performing a brake job you shouldn't be doing it. Brakes are not something to screw around with and a simple mistake can be very dangerous and costly.

Remember, if you're going to do your brakes, you truly are putting your life and others in your hands. This IS one time to truly second guess your abilities.

I'll be sure to include detailed pics and discussion.
And the brake pads are Axxis Ultimates (courtesy of board Vendor JuniorBean and Custom Car Creations).
Also going to be doing a brake fluid flush.

I have done brakes on other cars, and once you do it once, you are like, "I can't believe I shelled out $500 bucks for something that took me 45 minutes..."
So, that's why I will be doing my brakes from here on out. I am guessing the brakes on this car are pretty straight forward, but its always nice to have the service manual pages, just to make sure you handle the clips, etc correctly, turn the pistons, if necessary, ... know what I mean?
So that's why I requested the service manual pages on this. Anyone want to post that info?
