both key look the same anyway......
if the key uses spring to shoot it out.....I think it's pretty hard to accomplish
it'd be a cool mod tho

Acura's e-store may have it, but the places I order my keys from don't. I could call down to see if my local acura dealership has it, but I'd like to keep doing business with the vendors I have as they are reliable with price.

The new TL key fob looks like it would last a lot longer (and stay new looking) vs our TSX key fobs. Hopefully Moda_way will find a way

id pay anything to get this. The key represents your car...esspecially when some people dont even see your car, only the key fob. I hate the clunkying (i just made up a word) around of the 2 things, and its starting to wear a little after 4 months.

Only updates I have are that there are no updates. I check every couple of days and until the parts are posted in the online catalogs at the various vendors, I can't order one.

key available online for only $47 dollarsl, however then you need a cylinder and to get the key laser cut for the cylinder and that will cost about 200 or 250 for the cylinder and I would say 50-100 for the laser cutting but not sure.

Do you really have to do all of that just to get this working on a TSX?

Where is this available? No you don't need the cylinder, laser cutting etc.. That would be very expensive to change all the locks in your car. You retrofit your current key into this fob including the immobilizer chip... assuming they are compatible. No one knows that yet.

So where is this available fro $47?

accuraautomotiveparts.org however I am not sure how you are going to retro fit a metal key so that it flips out. I mean the whole flip key part is one piece you can just cut it and glue it to your key it will break the first time you try to start the car.

Not to mention I have to confirm the transmitter part is even compatible for us.

IMO, I'll wait until the TL one comes out. It has the trunk pop button on it.

Sorry, I assumed you were talking about the TL key which has been the focus of this thread for some time, not the RDX key. I don't think anyone is interedted in the RDX key any longer.

Yea I started this thread for the RDX key. Now I dont even want that damn key anymore. hahaha. I want the TL key now. For around $50, the key is pretty cheap. Hopefully you can program it with the TSX.

this could quite possibly be the greatest modification i have ever seen. with no other part of the car do you deal for such a large portion of your time (you carry that thing around everywhere).

it sounds bad and but the tsx's fob really does make the car less appealing to me. not a huge fan of the jetta, but those VW/audi keys...yeah. so classy compared to that hard plastic.

the accord key is even better than the tsx key and fob. right now I have modaways key mod to the accord key and this might be done to my other key but I am going to switch over to laser cut keys and maybe be the first tsx owner with laser cut keys.

How are you going to do that? Are you going to change all the locks in the car?

what do you mean all. there is a key spot on the drivers door and there is the ignition. i never lock the glove box or the trunk release so I only have to change two. you can just get the cylinder from a wrecked accord.
