Rdx Key Fob (modaway)
#44
or one could purchase the Canadian CSX key and use that. though when i asked the dealer for a price i believe i was quoted around 3-400. and that would still involve replacing the key as it is also laser cut. but you would have a nice Acura logo on the back.
I am working on my key fob as we speak...been bored lately so ive decided to mod my modded key fob (thanks to moda-way)

I test drove the RDX the other day. I personally did not like the new key for it as it is too big, IMO.
When you do the mod you have to make sure that you make it really sturdy. With such a big fob you can inadvertaintly apply quite a bit of torque and break the key from the fob if it is not made strong enough.
Another thing that I didn't like is that the RDX does not have the "all windows down" feature from the remote. I use that all the time in my TSX... This may indicate that the actual electronics behind the remote system is not the same. Don't know why acura wouln't want to offer this feature if the hardware could do it.

Would this key fob (rl) work?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACURA-Key-W-Remote-Item-B
Also the new TL has a new key fob for 2007 and im wondering if it has the trunk release feature or windows up? Mabey it has a 3rd trunk button like the RL's?
P.S. why would Acura want the TL to lose features like those?
My guess would be the TL key fob would be the closest and r best bet.....but we have to wait till lik Nov. or something like that to get one.

I'm not sure I scared anyone away just yet. There hasn't even been the ability to check an RDX key yet to verify. I'm just saying that there are a few factors that point to the RDX not being compatible (i.e. a different transmitter), but I have no proof yet.
As for the 2007 TL key, I have less info about it than I do about the RDX key.
