or one could purchase the Canadian CSX key and use that. though when i asked the dealer for a price i believe i was quoted around 3-400. and that would still involve replacing the key as it is also laser cut. but you would have a nice Acura logo on the back.

I am working on my key fob as we speak...been bored lately so ive decided to mod my modded key fob (thanks to moda-way)

MTLer: do they offer a different ket fob for the CSX in montreal?? Because in toronto the CSX key fob is identical to the 2006 civic one.

Intergrating the RL key fob with our car would be truely pimp!!!

I don't believe so. Were you looking at the premium model? I think maybe it is only availible for that one, or maybe only on option, but i doubt it.

Also, what does the civic key/fob look like?

I'd be up for it too Moda_Way, granted I had just recently got my Accord key fob early in the year. LOL...

Let's see if the MMC for the RDX results in memory seats so I can get my Driver1 function back.

That would be great. First things first, we have to see if the transmitter even matches ours. I already have examples of transmitters that don't work.

I test drove the RDX the other day. I personally did not like the new key for it as it is too big, IMO.

When you do the mod you have to make sure that you make it really sturdy. With such a big fob you can inadvertaintly apply quite a bit of torque and break the key from the fob if it is not made strong enough.

Another thing that I didn't like is that the RDX does not have the "all windows down" feature from the remote. I use that all the time in my TSX... This may indicate that the actual electronics behind the remote system is not the same. Don't know why acura wouln't want to offer this feature if the hardware could do it.

Do the windows go down if you turn the key in the door?

Would this key fob (rl) work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACURA-Key-W-Remote-Item-B

Also the new TL has a new key fob for 2007 and im wondering if it has the trunk release feature or windows up? Mabey it has a 3rd trunk button like the RL's?

P.S. why would Acura want the TL to lose features like those?

My guess would be the TL key fob would be the closest and r best bet.....but we have to wait till lik Nov. or something like that to get one.

I'm not sure I scared anyone away just yet. There hasn't even been the ability to check an RDX key yet to verify. I'm just saying that there are a few factors that point to the RDX not being compatible (i.e. a different transmitter), but I have no proof yet.

As for the 2007 TL key, I have less info about it than I do about the RDX key.

do you think they would switch to laser cut keys for the 2007 TL or do you think it will be a regular style key

The acura site makes it seem that the all windows down feature works.

Well, the TL fob has my attention now since it has the trunk release button. Question is if the transmitter works and if the key is/isn't laser cut. If it isn't, then the next step is figuring out how to mod our keys to work in it.

if it isnt laser cut i still think we are all going to have to go the expensive way and order a non cut one through a dealer cause i dont think you will be able to take a tsx and make it fit the actual unit atleast from when i drove the rdx that is how it looked.

I wouldnt think they would change the key to laser cut cuz then...they would have to spend more money to change all the parts inside the ignition.

I think this should be move becuase not enough people look at this. I kinda dont like the way how most of the people only look at the main disscusion part.
