Oz version TSX

Hi ppl

Great to find this site being a new Honda Accord Euro owner........the Oz equivalent of the TSX.

I had a 1998 V6 Accord, and a Honda CBR600 until recently when a idiot car driver tried to kill me....wrote off my bike and his car, and almost myself!

Anyway, there only seems to be a few minor differences between the Oz version and the US version, besides the name.

One thing that seems to create conjecture is wheel size.

In Oz my Luxury version ( suroof etc) is fitted with !7"x & 7" rims with the 55mm offset and 225x45 tyres. Hope that helps anyone who is after 17x7's.
I'd love to put chrome wheels on but not much available in alloy wheels in oz with a 55mm offset.................... patience

Anyway.....gidday from downunder...lol..............

Hi! Welcome to tsx.acurazine!

Hope you are also a member of ozhonda forum. There's a huge Accord Euro section there.

Welcome to AZ!! Why do the rims have to have a 55MM offset? I have Volk GT-C 17 x 7 +43 (face 1) rims and they fit fine with no rubbing.
Where are you located in Australia? I've been to Perth a few times. Beautiful city.

I was considering a set of 17x7.5 chrome rims but the offset is 40mm, although the 7.5" wide is a better match to the standard 17x7 with a 225/45 tyre, which is pushing the limits for a 7" wide rim.

Anyway, according to

http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html

My option moves the outer edge out by 21mm and the inside out by 9mm, to me that is too much removed from standard.

Your option moves inside and outside out by 12mm, to me that seems acceptable.

Too difficult to get 17" rims in 7 or 7.5" with a offset >42.

I'll keep lookin'............
