Okay I had enough!! I'm Getting a Buffer!

Hey guys, I have a NHB and there are so many little scretches!!!~ I decided to get a buffer. I took detailing class so I know how to do it but don't know which one to buy. I found some from shucks but not sure if this is the right one? What is differences between the buffer and waxer/polisher? Is there any other place I can find good one for good deal? let me know

Coleman Powermate PMB7281
can I use this as buffer?

Thanks pizzaman555 and fedlawman
Man, they are expensive!!~ I have few questions to ask tho.
Are those too strong for our car paint? I heard from my brother that I have to get a curtain kind other wise it can damage our paint.

Imo Best Buffer Out There!

IMO the best buffer out there is made by cyclo tools. I have used this buffer on several vehicles, from exotics to regular old GM type stuff and have never been unhappy with the results.

Check that site out and enjoy.

get that. unless your a professional detailer stay away from rotary buffer. you can actually burn your paint if you dont know how to use one.

Both...You cant buff a car fast and get the same results by hand as you can with a PC.

Huh? Shaker? You mean a random orbital buffer?

ya its faster, and also some polishes requires fast buffing to break down the chemical.

Well, there are several different sizes of random orbits and there are rotarys. The popular PC's are RO's, along with the larger 9" buffers. Mostly these "shakers" you refer to are for buffing only. You put a large MF or cotton bonnet on them.

Rotary's are much tougher to use and less forgiving then the RO's. Since rotarys only rotate in a circle, you have to be very careful not to stay in the same spot, otherwise you will burn right through the paint. However, in the right hands, rotarys can cut your time down since all its energy is concentrated in one spot.

I second the Porter Cable RO buffer. I have one for my car and it rocks
They are speed adjustable so you can vary the speed for applying cleaner, wax, or polish. Very nice tool. Spend the extra money. You won't be sorry.
