Tint Question for Tint Lovers

I'm picking up my CG 05 TSX tommorow. I getting it tinted on next Tuesday (now..it was to be Thursday...long story).

Anyway, the question. On my Mini Cooper I did 35% on the sides and darking on the back window (can't remember the number).

How would this look on the TSX or should I just go 35% all around?

Thanks in advance - any pictures would be nice too

35 all around.

Its not a coupe so you dont want an uneven tint look. Even all across is best.

I suggest even all around 35 so you don't get raped in the ass by cops. 20 is the perfect darkness but cops'll rape you if you're unlucky.

Good

It seems everyone agrees 35% all around.

Is that dark enough in the back window so they can't wee you too well?

Hi,

I got 35% tint all around on my PWP and it is quite dark in some angle. I love it since it is not too dark and do not get too much attention from cops.

I would do 35 as well but you might get a grey tint as it looks better than black. Sample: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2055408/3

and yes my site sucks, I dont use it much

Can people tell

Do you think people can tell if the back window is darker?

I haven't see the grey tint. Just the black and some cheaper stuff with a greenish tint. Great photo by the way.

35 is what most people get, it's like the perfect balance between legality (still illegal but only anal cops will do nething about it) and looks.

yah i got 35 front and darker tint in the back...
people can tell........but it doesn't look bad

35% is too light....so i'd rather have 35 and 20...or maybe all 20% if you dare

35

It seems there is a theme here. 35% pretty much safe. 20% looks best but good luck with the cops.

I think I'll stay with 35% all around

Does everyone here live in states that allow tinting of the front windows? I am curious how cops react in states that say tinting the front windows is illegal.

I have 5% on the rear window and visor strip with 20% on the sides.

If you put 20% on the back window it will darken it up a bit more, but still make it look lighter from the sides. You wouldn't even tell that you have tintS and not just a 35% tint.

Anybody think 35% all around is too light for a black TSX?

I have Pinnacle Ceramic tint with 50% on the front windows and 15% on the rear windows. Here in Cali you can have any tint on the back, but the limit on the front is 70%. I think 50% front and 35% back would be pretty good though.

It's funny, I agree I would love to go one darker but they seem to step from 35 to 15, to 5. It would be nice if they had 20, 25, or 30.

But getting pulled over would be bad too. I need to see pictures with 35% all around and then I guess 15%

Do I have these number correct?

I did 20% on the rear window, 20% on the back doors, and 55% on the front doors.

I think this looks perfect. You want the back glass very dark, almost limo if you can take it because tint makes your auto dim mirror worky no more

I did 20% on the rear window b/c it was the darkest they had in metallic, the 5% wasn't metallic and I didn't want purple tint in a few years.
