New TSX problems anyone?

I just got my new 06 TSX ASM/O last week. Had 7 miles when I got it. Has anyone had issues with their new TSX right off the lot?
-- My a/c does not work. Blows air, but not cold. A/C led light is on, but no cold air.
--Steering wheel viberates at 70 mph. (I know, wheels just probably need balancing)
--The Handsfree Link will not end a call. To end a call, I have to press end on the acutal cell phone.
--Scraping noise when you back out of a parking spot then put into drive, and turn the wheels to the right, when it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. Will not make the scraping sound when you back out and turn the wheels left.
I have a service appointment tomorrow. But was just wondering if anyone else has had any issues with theirs right off the lot.

Look in the owner's manual and look at the checklist. The A/C should work. Hit the Auto button, and turn the temperature really cold. Maybe it's reading the ambient temperature incorrectly, so your a/c temp setting is too high.

Steering wheel vibration is either alignment or wheel balancing. I don't know if your dealership test drove it on the freeway...I think they usually just use city roads. So let your service advisor know about this.

Handsfree link...depends on your cell phone. Not all cell phones are fully compatible

I'm not sure about the scraping noise. Does it only happen when it's cold? If so, that might be the car doing it's self-test for the abs system. I don't know exactly what you're trying to say...is the scraping noise during the 1->2 shift, or when you're moving with the wheel turned?

I bought my TSX 8 months ago and it still perfect...no problems yet. The day you went to the dealership abnd take delivery of your TSX, did your sales rep went over the vehicle with you and show everything works? explain how the controls (navi, bluetooth etc) and functioning correctly before you took it off the lot? That is my experience with my dealership and I inspected the car (exterior/interior) before I left the lot. Well take it to your sales rep/advisor and make sure they take care of you and look at the problem you've notice in your newly purchase vehicle.

Yeah, the sales rep went over how everything worked. However, it was POURING the rain the night I picked it up so I really didn't notice the a/c not working till the next day. I have put it on "auto" I have pressed the a/c button and the led screen says "a/c on" and I put the temp control down to 58. I live in FL and it is still 85 degrees during the day.

The Handsfree was tested when I picked it up and it works perfect except to end the call.

The scraping noise happens when you are going straight and it is shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. But it will only do it when you go in reverse and turning the wheels to the right. Its very odd. If I had to describe it, it sounds like a tire rubbing against something plastic. But I have looked at the tires and wheels and nothing.

Other than that, I love the car. I know the dealer will fix it tomorrow so I am not worried about it. Just wondering if anyone else had issues.

The dealership and sales rep were excellent! Best expierence I have ever had purchasing a car.

My door seals around the top of the doors were not seated properly. But it was easy to slide them into place once I realized they weren't seated. Other than that the car is perfect.

I picked up my 06 TSX on Friday 11/10/06. It had 2 miles on the odometer. I can smell burning oil after I drive it. I called the dealer and they said it will go away. It is getting less noticeable. I'm going back to the dealer next weekend to pick up the new Nav DVD disc. If it's still happening, I'll try to get someone to look at it.

No other real complaints. I had an 04 TSX, and this one drives much smoother. It's a much improved ride.

Oh, there is one other thing. It was rainy today, and the wipers made a squeaking sound, and began to leave rubber residue at the top of the blade's swing. I'll definitely talk to the dealer about it.

clean your wipers before hand. i believe someone had said to clean them with rubbing alcohol beforehand to clean them. i did as well, not once has it squeaked.

2 miles...sounds like the dealer didn't get around to doing their test drive. that 2 miles was probably just the amount necessary to get the car from the factory, onto the boat, and then onto the truck...

Theres no way you can smell burning oil at 2 miles. I know what the burning oil smell is like and its different compared to break-in smell.

i think its the Break in smell..i had that smell for 1k miles. I always smelled it after parking it in the garage.

Check www.handsfreelink.com for compatible phones. I have a Samsung A900, and have the same problem not being able to hang up. Just something you have to deal with for that particular phone.

What exactly is a "break in smell?" I know that theres a new car smell. I can lift up my hood and still smell the new car parts. Smells like roasted plastic, smothered in octane sauce.

I dont have a squeak problem with mine but it skips like a little preschool girls since the first day I brought it home. I remember because it was raining like crazy that day. I've cleaned it with windex, alcohol, wiper blade treatments. Gay blade I swear.

i didn't have any of these problems, and i really hope everything works out for you.

To everyone else, this is a classic example of why you MUST take your car for a test drive before the purchase is complete!

I bought my TSX 2 weeks ago with 15 miles on it. The Auto up/down feature isn't working. The window works fine, just not auto up/down.

I hope that this car is more realiable than my last one. I had an 06 Volvo V50 T5. During the year I owned it, it was at the dealer 8 times for various problems. I am glad there is a lemon law in my state.

In the past week, i've noticed that my road noise has increased a LOT since I got the car back in February, and I that my steering wheel also vibrates at 70 MPH.

I went to go check the psi in the front tires today, and they were 4 normal psi, and after I filled the tires up to spec, totally killed the terrible road noise, and also the vibrating of my steering wheel.

I picked up my TSX late Saturday 11/5. I had a vibration over 60 mph. On Sunday I went to a tire store and had my wheels blanced, that was the problem. I had both right front and back needing weight.

I have had no other problems and have about 1,100 miles.

I'll give that a try when I return from my business trip.

BTW, while we're complaining, is anyone else peeved that Acura doesn't give keyrings and pens with the car anymore? My 04 TSX came with 2 very nice keyrings and a so-so pen. I recall at the time that people were complaining that prior to then, the gifts were even better.

The dealer put my keys on the flimsiest hoop keyring I've ever seen. Barely a step up from a twist-tie. They lost a few class points on that one.

This is just grousing, BTW. I didn't ever use the nice Acura keyrings. I think they're in a desk drawer. And I still have the pen. I doubt its been used either. But it's the principle.

Thanks! Yes, mine is the Samsung A900 from Sprint. At least its not a car problem to be fixed.

UPDATE:

--The problem with the a/c is that some fan blower module is bad. The service dept said they have NEVER seen this part go bad on any TSX that they have serviced. So I guess it was a defective part from the begining. They don't even have the part in stock because they never go bad. Its being over-nighted and will be fixed tomorrow.

--As in the post above, I guess its my phone and not the car in reference to the Handfree Link ending call button.

--The front wheels were balanced and no viberation.

--The plastic-scraping noise cannot be duplicated and they can't visually see anything. But get this.... the loaner they gave me (06 TSX with 1,400 miles) does the same thing. So I guess it is normal. I've never owned an Acura (or Honda). Since it has a good warranty, I'll not worry about it just yet since I only have 260 miles.

I must say, I have owned new Fords, Nissans, and Pontiac and the service from either of those car dealers, companies, or service departments even compare to Acura. If I needed service on the other 3 cars, a loaner was out of the question. I was directed to the Enterprise Rental desk in the service dept if I needed a car. No wonder so many people are choosing non-american cars. I know I will never own an American car.

I have the infamous driver's seat creak which means I'll have to bring it to the dealer again. They couldn't figure out where the creak was coming from and I had left the TSB at work. D'oh!

I've had a few spastic navi DVD errors. I think after a month, I was driving to work and listening to the radio when an error message popped up regarding a DVD disc error. I don't remember the exact message but I have it written down somewhere. It happened 2 more times - luckily never when I was using navi. The last time was the worst - I had to eject and reinsert the DVD 3 times before it behaved. Of course, it's one of those things that happens occasionally and the techs couldn't replicate.

Other than that, no huge issues. 5500 miles after 4 months of ownership.

I suppose it all depends on your dealership. My dealership gave me three Acura Key Rings, along with a pen (actually I just stole it) and about 7 bottles of water of which I consumed in about 5 minutes in the lounge area. I was then given free lexol leather cleaning products. So I guess it all really depends. My dealership treats me well.

I have had my car over 3 months and driven close to 4K miles and have had no issues, except some occasional creaking from the clutch pedal (found a few threads outlining this problem, although it is minor).

Didn't get anything (keyrings, mugs, pens, etc.) with the purchase

Got 2 key rings, a multi-purpose knife (similar to gerber) and a free meal (courtesy of the new owner's clinic held by the dealership)

Scraping noise is the ABS and or traction control resetting itself. It will do this when you back up and then go forward after you first start it. I get it everytime I back out of my driveway. Check other posts on this to confirm which one it is.

I got my car back just now from the dealer. They had to replace some fan blower module and the a/c compressor. They said once they replaced the module, the compressor was leaking.

Just odd that a new car with 7 miles had a/c trouble. But I still love the car!!!

Hmm. Well, I have an appointment at the dealer this Friday to get the Nav DVD disc upgrade they promised me. I'll mention that I'm not happy about the keyring thing. If they give me one (or two), fine. If not, I won't press it too hard, but I'll make sure they know how low class an act this was. However, if they give me any grief about the disc, that's another story.

My '06 TSX had bad A/C components from the git-go. Two trips to dealer to resolve. A/C not cold followed by a freon leak.

I think thats what they said was wrong with mine. And some module for the fan blower. Once that was replaced, it leaked freon. So they replaced the whole compressor. Like a new car now!! Oh wait, it IS a new car.
