Easy question (5AT) -- shifter lights -- thanks!

On the 5AT, are the shifter selections (P / R / N / D / D3 / D2) supposed to light up or am I imagining things?

I seem to remember that they were always lit up and easily readable at night with the headlights on. In just the last few days I've noticed that they are no longer lit up (or were never lit up to begin with and indeed I am imagining things). I'm going in to the dealer tomorrow morning for a routine service check and I'm trying to put together a short list of issues I want addressed. Curious if this needs to be added. Any help ya'll can offer would be much appreciated. I realize it's a dumb question, but thanks for your help anyway...

"I don't remember either."

Isn't that weird? It seems like something we should just know the answer to without even thinking, but this one has me stumped too. Haven't checked the manual yet. Anyway, either I'm imagining things or this feature has konked out on me. Someone let me know -- thanks.

I just walked downstairs to the garage to check it out.

Yes, they are illuminated, along with the Hi/Lo writing on the heated seats buttons.

Thanks for the excuse to take a break and spend time with the car.

No, no, no, thank YOU for the answer!

Good to know I'm not imagining things.

Bad to know my lights konked out on me.

I'll add it to the list for my dealer appointment...

What tha dillio?
Are you guys talking about the (P/R/N/D/D2/D3) located near the shifter or on the dashboard? Only the (P/R/N/D/D2/D3) on my dashboard located in the tachometer lights up and as for the heated seats, there is a small orange light located below the "low" letters that light up when the heated seats are activated. The "high/low" letters do not light up at all.

Checked last night, they definently light up. In fact I can't believe we thought they might not

Don't forget the seat heater switches right next to the shifter light up as well.

Absolutely they light up. If they didn't light up, you would have noticed it the first time your drove the TSX at night. You have driven it at night, haven't you?
