Coolant & PS fluid

I noticed that the coolant in my TSX was low this morning. I bought some Peak 50/50 prediluted coolant to top it off. Has anyone else used this coolant before? It says that it mixes with all color coolants and can be used on all models. Do you think that it is safe?

I also wanted to change my PS fluid. I was going to get Honda fluid but, they had Accel PS fluid at the auto parts store. It says that it is designed specifically for Honda vehicles. Has anyone else used this PS fluid before? It is made by Warren Performance Products.

I've used Prestone to top off, which also sells a pre-mix blend that claims to be OK with all the OE stuff. I'm sure you'll be OK with the Peak. I used Honda anti freeze to do a complete change, but just for adding a little in between, I wouldn't hesitate to use one of the aftermarket blends (it can be allot easier to find if you're not near a Honda dealer). I can't speak for the PS fluid. When I changed mine, I used Honda fluid to do it.

I'd suggest Honda PS fluid as its really not too expensive and will work best. Coolant you suggested should be fine.

I am not trying to save money. It was just convenient to buy the stuff I mentioned. I think that I will use the coolant and return the PS fluid.

Wait for the recall it looks like you will get the PS drained and refilled.

Great advice!!! No need to replace the fluid if you are going to have this recall performed, as they indeed replace all of your PS fluid for you, on their dime and time.

I just looked at the recall yesterday. I will let the Acura dealer do the work.
