Yeah, the link is dead as hell. I thought we were going to refurbish it, but never got contacted back from the member who wanted to do it. He had the only copy I know of the guide.

I've got a copy of the page saved on my home computer. I can post it up somewhere or send it to someone else to host it later tonight. A couple things are outdated or wrong/not entirely correct, though.

What's wrong/outdated?

I'm looking at upgrading all the lights on the exterior of my 06 TSX...and SuperbrightLEDs.com (as recommended on the post) seems to have more stuff available now than 2 years ago...

More specifically...it seems the 7440 bulbs are available now, and don't require a mod of the 7443 bulbs.

I think I'm going to replace the plate bulbs, and the brake lights, and tail lights first, the latter two with wide angle bulbs.

Hmm, might be my faulty memory about the "wrong" part, because it looks correct. But, instead of all white bulbs, as indicated, you should get red to match the lenses. The light won't be filtered out that way.

Correct. At the time, some 2 yrs ago, they didn't have a pure white 7440, so I modded that 7443. It is still working beautifully.

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...5.5015&next=50

pure white high power

6 led bulb

5 led bulb

but which one?!?!

i'm sure it's by preference but which one do people recommend for the license plates?

my roommates got white on his white IS350 and it looks real nice

i dont want it too bright, i want it subtle like the existing bulbs....thanks

6LED and the white won't be subtle like the OEMs.... its pure white. It isn't going to cast light like a flourescent light would... it is just a white light.

well i know it won't be as subtle as the stock bulbs....but just not freakishly bright....so if the 6 bulb and white power are too bright...you're suggesting the 5 bulb?

I have the 6LED's for the license plate. Here's a pic:

They seem bright enough, but I think some people are going with the 9LED's.

After a few months of being lazy, I've finally decided to go ahead with the turn signal LED conversion. However, I'm having some problems figuring a few things out.

I want to use turn signal flashers as opposed to the load resistors to make the flash pattern correct. My problem is that I have no idea where the flashers are located. I'm assuming I'd be able to figure out the correct model of flasher to use if I could just find the actual flashers, but I have no idea where they are. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks a lot!

Take a look at this page about 4 items down:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...5.5015&next=50

Looks like those are the flashers? Though im not sure how they work. Im looking into this as well. I'd be nice to not have to use the resistors...

I know what the flashers are and where to buy them, I just don't know where they are located in the car so that I can swap out the factory flashers with LED flashers. Thanks for the link though.

My GUESS for the flasher location would be behind the pull out panel just above the hood opener.

Alright, Im catching on finally. Pulling our stock flashers will give us the part number...Im on board...

The relay is in the under-hood relay box, relay #4.

So replacing the flashers is as simple as replacing the "small lights" #4 fuse in the under hood fuse box?

Is the correct fuse type in the manual? If not, what type of flasher is it, as I said before, I've seen up to 8 LED flashers and I'm not sure which one to use.

Its a relay, not a fuse. You also need the correct relay plug type. Only way to know is to pull yours out and compare to the type at superbrightleds.com.

So is the fact that I don't know what a relay is, a bad thing? Does that kind of disqualify me from doing this? I'm looking in the fuse box under my hood, is that the wrong place to be looking? Is there a separate "relay box" somewhere under the hood that I'm missing?

Thanks for your help, sorry for all the dumb questions.

Nope, you are looking in the right "box", but you need to find a cube shaped item in there in position #4. That is your hazard/turn signal relay. It pulls straight up and out. When you get it out, flip it over and visually check it with the one online.

After pulling out all 5 of the relays in the fuse box, it doesn't look like there's an LED compatible flasher for the TSX. I don't think the flasher solution will work, unless someone knows of which one will work. Looking at the pins on the bottom, none of them look compatible with any of these from www.superbrightleds.com.

The ones in the TSX look like:

There are a few that are really close, but none that look exactly like that one.

Incase anyone is wondering, here is what the flasher looks like:

I havent seen any pics yet from DMBand of where the flasher is and how he got it out, but I'm sure I'll find it.

Angry

Well, I got the flasher out, but as you can see below, the suggested replacement is the wrong damn one

Here is where the flasher is located, under the dash. Just unscrew the panel directly under the steering wheel and pop off the black plastic cover...I used a pair of vise grips to get it out.

Guess I should have waited for DMBand to find out it was the wrong one first. I dont know where the hell you got that part number, but its not for this. Maybe this thing plugs in somewhere else...

This totally sucks ass

Did some digging and apparently the relay suggested is only for a 97-01 Acura. Here it is:

That looks exactly like the one suggested...So Im pretty sure the one I bought wont work at all.

Great...Now what?
