They'll probably add the rearview backup camera as well as in other countries. I see some HP and torque gains but not much because that would conflict with the TL. They should add the the mirror pointing down when in reverse. Also blue side mirrors

No, that's good. I just bought a '05 and I would be pissed if they bumped up the power now. Also, am I clueless for thinking the chances of Honda putting a turbo-charger in any of their models are extremely remote?

The rumor was that the RDX would be powered by a 250hp/250lb ft K24A2 Turbo and since it's based on the TSX, it may trickle down eventually.

Honda currently has two turbo'd engines in their lineup, although the only one we see here is in the form of a jetski.

But wasn't the vtec engine added to the Prelude line in 93 after the 4G was introduced in 92?
On top of that, JDM Integar get totally different front end after 2 yr and also introduce the DC2 typeR at the same time.

I think I wrote in this thread 3 times that I don't think there'll be significant trq/hp increase for '06.... hmm... make this the 4th time now

no 06 TSX will not get a Turbo.

A new TSX-S with a stronger engine is more likely than Acura putting in a Turbo in the 06 TSX.

Not likely. Honda know people would be PISSED if they had just bought the 05 model. They have always brought out the higher hp model a year after.

I believe it was before the TSX was introduced that Acura stated they were going to stop using the Type-S bag, but the story was the regular version would be modeled after the Type-S version. For instance the new TL was made to replace the previous generation TL Type-S model. Having driven the current TL as well as the old TL-S, I would say I agree. So no we don't need a Type-S badge. I'm sure someone will point out the RSX as an exception, but that car's days are number so it's moot really.

What?
dictionary entry for moo vs. dictionary entry for moot

And here is some more background on the term "moot":
The adjective moot is originally a legal term going back to the mid-16th century. It derives from the noun moot, in its sense of a hypothetical case argued as an exercise by law students. Consequently, a moot question is one that is arguable or open to debate. But in the mid-19th century people also began to look at the hypothetical side of moot as its essential meaning, and they started to use the word to mean “of no significance or relevance.” Thus, a moot point, however debatable, is one that has no practical value.

You're not serious are you Joey Tribiani?

Joey: All right, Rach. The big question is, "does he like you?" All right? Because if he doesn't like you, this is all a moo point.
Rachel: Huh. A moo point?
Joey: Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.

I've seen a lot of speculation here about MY 2006 changes... anyone know a date we can expect to see models on lots?

Also, any iPod users here? Do you use an FM transmitter or cassette adapter? I have the cassette adapter for my current car and am debating including a cassette player when I make my TSX purchase.

I wouldn't go that far. My iTrip does okay using 87.9 -- and it almost seems like it does better when the battery is fully juiced.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. It's likely that for less than what you'd pay Acura for the cassette module, you could buy an aftermarket aux-in adapter and get even better sound.

Ah, interesting! Who makes the aux-in adapter and how would it hook into the stereo system?
