A blonde moment that lasted 2 years for me...

So on sunday i was getting ready to go back up to college after break. Having 3 others in the car I needed to find room to put away some stuff. Sitting in the drivers seat I always just yanked the trunk release because from past experiences of mine, going to the back of the car an pushing the button never worked. For the last 2 years, i just kept thinking i never got the timing down with the door unlock or whatever to get the back button to work like it was suppose to. We'll luckily for me, i realized that day that i had remembered turning off the switch in the glove compartment 2 years ago when I went to a wedding with valet parking. Switched it back on and Viola....the trunk button works again. 2 years! 2 years i kept thinking that I didn't know how to use the trunk button properly....oy...

I thought it was bad I didn't know where the outside trunk button was... but that was only for about the first month...

Brave of you to mention this. And congratulations on your new feature-- not many get a free new one after two years.

Wait until you find the button that opens the trunk from the outside (when driver's door is unlocked). Then you will have mastered the trunk.

Knock knock:

Q: Did you hear about the 2 blondes that froze to death at the outdoor drive-in movie theatre?

A: Yeah, they went to see "CLOSED FOR THE WINTER."

Yes, it took me a week or two to figure that out. I'm not blond but I play one on TV.

lol, nah im actually and asian male. But I mean wow...what a discovery...I mean for the last 2 years i just ignored it and never used the button, ever. Even people who tried using it kept asking why isn't it going up, i just thought I didn't know how to use it (well, i guess technically I didn't). But wow...stupid switch..never again will I turn it off. lol

My excuse was that I was testing the glovebox switch, trying to open the trunk from the external button, but only unlocking the driver's door (the default setting for unlock). Couldn't figure out why the switch wasn't working,... until I used the master unlock on the door. A new owner blond moment, trying one feature and getting confused by another that I didn't understand well enough. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. :P
