Why would you want to turn your Acura into a Honda?

Um JDM? Since the TSX is available in Japan as a Honda Accord, some of us prefer to go authentic and re-badge the TSX to Honda Accord, and modify every parts with the Japanese parts as much as possible. People have been doing that with alot of the other Japanese makes and models like the Acura RL, rebadge to Honda Legend, G35 to Nissan Skyline. etc..

 

I dont like the red ! they have them in black wich looks better IMO ,but i still like the euro r much better.

 

JDM is the new rice. Actually, it's been rice for about 5 years now.

I personally do not understand why anyone would want to lable their Acura as a Honda. That being said, the merits of the two grilles compared: I prefer the Acura symbol, it is a stylized "A" as compared with the Honda symbol which is a plain "H".

 

the h is stylized as well. you're probably just more used to seeing it.

lol please, this is getting old. Let modders mod, whats with all the hating on rebadging. So of you guys sound like you bought the TSX just to run around saying you drive an acura, please go buy a Benz if thats the case.

Well i think its Ricey / bandwagonesque too generalize any style of modding cars unless its poor quality / bad workmanship .

Some people sound like they just like to run around and discount or disavow other Acura owners' reasons for buying. (yawn) Everyone buys for their own reasons, none of them more or less valid than anyone else's. Deal with it.

OP asked for comments. I don't like the gaudy, big , red H emblem on those. Hence, . EOM.

 

This would be the same as someone badging a Lexus into a Toyota, which I would never do myself.

But, I still think of the TSX is an nicer Accord with a better warranty, loaners, HIDs, and more prestige than a US Accord.

 

Someone once ordered one of these only to find out the fitment was terrible. And by "one of these" I mean explicitly the eBay JDM grille knockoff with the red H.

The real JDM grille is of course a good fit. 04/05 people just make sure to get the JDM trim for it too.

Right. No need for any of the negativity here, but you asked for opinion/ideas and that's pretty much what you got (including my earlier posts). I certainly agree with to each their own. Sure would be boring if anyone did the same thing.
