Please help! The navigation screen on my ‘05 TSX has been either flashing as shown or black (sometimes backlit) for a few years. The DVD disk in the trunk ejects fine and is in pristine condition. I think it’s spinning but it’s hard to hear. The CD player does not work but the radio does. I can only control temperature with the buttons, as none of the functions that go through the screen work. I do have the code and have used it (through the information screen above the nav screen and radio buttons to access the radio after replacing batteries). I am trying to determine if this is a screen or DVD unit problem. I’ve searched high and low on the forums. I was thinking of trying to remove the DVD ROM to clean the eye but don’t want to mess with it if it’s a screen problem. Is there any way to diagnose - with basic tools - whether this problem is related to the DVD ROM vs the screen? I’ve been trying to figure this problem out intermittently for years (I have young kids so precious little time) and would really love to finally get this solved and maybe get my screen functionality back!
