Motor mounts? 96 2.5 tl

Just bought a 96 2.5tl, and 3 days later im having a issue. At idle front of car vibrates, and when I step on the gas the vibration gets drastically worse. But when i take my foot of the gas its smooth as can be, press the gass peddle again and vibration instantly comes back. Does this sound like motor mounts? If so, how many mounts are there all together? Is there a way to check which mounts are bad? Thanks

Or could it be the axles?

Vibration at idle is not affected by axles.

See following link for front motor mount replacement. Bad news is the new mounts from Acura are over $300 each.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=mount

You should examine the motion of the engine relative to mount w/ car in Drive and Reverse and see if you can isolate which is broken. I would replace that one first and see if that fixes the problem.

good luck

vibration at idle might just be a rough idle. something new to add to the vibration problem. It feels and sounds like it might be coming more from the right side, and now it makes a clanking noise when i press the peddle.

So I have vibration and clanking noise when i press on teh gas but if i just coast theres nothing at all. Trans mount? or right axle?

I just also found out that 2 mounts have been replaced. According to the service records acura replaced it says front and back mounts. Cost about $900 to replace. Glad i didnt pay for that.

I think it was the front left and right axles that was replaced because they look new still.

If it was a mount that was bad, if i put the car in neutral and rev the engine would it vibrate like when i drive the car? Because in neutral the car doesnt vibrate at all.
