Blowing fuse
Blowing fuse
It appears my TL 2.5 98' is blowing the 15A Interior fuse under the hood when I start the car. Can anyone tell why this fuse is not making my radio work? Is there an easy fix to this problem or this an expensive one? Help!!
Check cigarette lighter for a shorted lighter, wiring fault, or excessive load (external adapter in cigarette lighter outlet w/ too high amperage demand).
Something may be grounding a hot wire, perhaps a wire has been pinched? If any work has been done on the car examine the area where work was performed.
Otherwise the fault must be traced w/ a VOM from the fuse box by connecting the VOM to measure resistance of the circuit to ground w/ fuse removed. Circuit is likely to show a dead short to ground. Then begin disconnecting the items on the circuit until ground disappears. This is the fault source. You will need a wiring diagram, VOM, and determination.
good luck
