1998 2.5 TL Knock Sensor

My OBD-II scan read the code for low-input of the knock sensor. Where is this located on the engine? How is it replaced?

What OBD2 scan code was read? I'll check this evening when I can refer to my Acura shop manual.

Most likely under the intake manifold. Acura loves to put stuff "out of the way" there.

good luck

Front knock sensor is on cylinder head just forward of front intake runner on intake manifold. Rear knock sensor is midway along cylinder head above the intake manifold runner slightly.

good luck

I was something like P037 and under it read, "01/01". When I referred to my shop manual, it read, "knock sensor - low input". I'll do it again to night to make sure I have the right code.

Unless there is wiring damage, the foward knock sensor (see location above) will need to be replaced.

good luck

OK, cool, thanks for the help. I'm assuming the sensor can only be bought at a dealer? Or are there auto parts stores online who sell it? Also, do I need any special tools? Thanks again.
