Signaling Lights Broken

When I apply my breaks, both of my turn signals come on. If I am signaling either right or left, they both flash like I am using my hazard lights. Any thoughts as to what is wrong?

Thanks

sometimes you have to ask the most obvious questions...This just started happening out of the blue? or have you done/had any work done recently to your vehicle?

when both of your turn signals come on with the brakes, are the flashing, or on solid?

Rain has been falling in southern California the last few weeks, and this 'condition' started right after the rain. First the right turn signal, with both front and back stuck on solid during breaking. Two days ago, after more rain, the left did the same thing and now they are both inoperable (meaning when I signal or break, they both come on). No matter which way I signal now, they both flash hazard.

No recent work has been done on the car.

wow that is the weirdest thing i have ever heard in my life... i would try resetting your ECU by unhooking your negative battery terminal for a few mins... see if that helps anything... maybe something got wet and went haywire...

Well, that being said, I would suspect that the rain has indeed affected a circuit somewhere.

I would (with the assistance of a helms manual) find all the connections, switches and relays that are involved with your brake, and turn signals and then inspect them. Might even be a good idea to check the wiring for continuity.

I would assume the rain had something to do with the behavior of my lights, but I figured I'd poll the masses before jumping to a possibly expensive conclusion such as the above mentioned.

Has anyone else ever experienced my symptoms?

Wow that is really weird. I don't know much about stuff like this, but the first thing that I thought of was if you have LEDs because they do weird things. Second thing I thought of was if anything got wet and just needs to dry. Good luck with this though.

Well, I don't think testing the bits and pieces will be necessarily expensive..I am sure someone on here has a schematic (via HELMS...anyone? anyone?) and with that you should know where to start and save some time.
