sub box help

sub box help

i have 2 12in. subs and an amp waiting to be put in my 98 3.2tl i plan on building my own box wat would be the best design and placement to get the best bass out of them also where would be the best places to tie into for LEDs in the front rear and trunk

Are you upgrading the speakers at all? Or are you one of those people that just throws in a sub or two and calls it a day?

Build a wall where the space is near the thing that flips down into the back seat, so that you aren't taking up to much space and that should give you that knock that you might be looking for.

best design for your subs depend on the type of music you listen to and your preference as far as bass is concern. Do you listen to hip hop? If so, most of the bass in rap and hip hop is "boomy" bass. If this is your desire, go with ported box.

If you listen to jazz, rock, metal, alternative, etc., go with a sealed box. These boxes have tight bass and isn't too boomy/car rattling bass.
