Remote transmitter for 1996, 3.2 TL
Remote transmitter for 1996, 3.2 TL
My vehicle came with a remote transmitter, I put a new battery in it, and it still is not working. I bought from the original owner. I’ve heard this is an issue for these vehicles. The security system is working on the vehicle otherwise… When I locked the car with the key it does arm the system. However, using the key every day multiple times is if anything inconvenient. I’m sure I can purchase an aftermarket system, I’m just looking for the ability to lock and unlock from the remote. I don’t need it to actually disable the ignition or sound an alarm if someone breaks in. Anyone know how to acquire a new remote transmitter for the vehicle and how to pair it to work? Is that something I can do or is that a dealership function? Or should I just buy an affordable aftermarket alarm?
The one I have is dead-dead. No bueno. Would need a new one. Would like to buy two of them and get paired to vehicle.
Anyone been through this before?
I can call a locksmith and ask and call the dealer and ask, both on monday.
I know that auto parts stores sell a lot of generic ones, too.
