re: need ideas
hey peeps,
i have a 97 3.2tl and want to add some mods to it but don't want to spend an arm and a leg..i just painted my car a silver shade and have 18" rims for it.. i want to add some simple stuff that won't kill my wallet. i am not looking to enter my car in no show but want to fix it up a little..anyone got any ideas or selling some stuff? you can post me here or send me an email at quikie@hotmail.com ...if you have web sites to go to, that would help too but need to know what to look for...as you can figure out, i am a rookie at this, so if the experts can help me out, i would appreciate it... thanks..

Take off the intake resonator. Remove the front wheel on the passenger side, its below the airbox. It'll make the engine a tad more mean sounding without being ricey. I label it as a "tasteful" mod.
Perhaps a wood shift knob?

Even after all my mods I can get 25 or 26 mpg on the highway.

Safety Car
Even with hard driving I don't get below 20 mpg. I usually get around 23.
I would just suggest checking your air filter, fuel filter, and tire pressure. 16-18 is really low so I don't think driving style alone could do that. Premium gas?
