Need Help with filter...

Need Help with filter...

hey guys... i got a 98 3.2 TL and i just got a new filter today... when i opened the hood to look at the stock intake, the stock filter box is right behind the power steering fluid... what did u guys do to make the aftermarket filter fit??? please help, i wanna get it in by next week.. thanks..

i looked at it again today.. loosened all the clips and i couldn't even get the damn cover to the filter box off... it is on there... i tried to get it off the tube but even the top half in there tight... its like its freaking glued on... ne ideas how i even get the old box out.... its a replacement intake filter... not just the filter that goes inside the box...

So like an After Market CAI w/ maybe a cone shaped Filter that fits on existing air intake tubes?

it is a cone shaped filter which i wanna swap in... i can't seem to get the old filterbox out to get the cone in... im guessing this is a question for all the ppl who did custom intakes... how do i make it fit behind the power steering and how do i even get the damn stock airbox out???

there's a couple bolts to take out the air box. and the aftermarket cone filter will be touching your powersteering reservior but it wont hurt anything... it kinda pinches the vacume hose a little to. i had mine in for months no problems yet :-D
