Santa came early/late this year. I finally got my rims after waiting around 3 months which should've been only 4-6 weeks. Well, the wait was worth it. Its Vienna Sovereigns 19x7.5 with 225/35/19 tires.

 

J-Spec, I like your ride, and I hate to be negative period, but you just ruined the look of your car with those wheels. To each his own, but that's my opinion.

 

tahahaa... its cool Mike that you dont like my style but what are you into? chrome? I myself dont like chrome cuz its to "bling", played out and to me, it only looks good on dark colored cars but to each his own right?

 

Black chrome really takes some time to get used to. In my opinion, they look GREAT!!! Good job on being unique and making your car really stand out.

 

dude, those are the rims ive been wanting to get!!! just not in black though. im a chrome guy that shiet would get me to cream in my boxers but yours came pretty close..right now, i just pitched a tint in my crotch

*EDIT* oh yeah, i have a 2.5...which is a 4 lug and those vienna only comes in 5 lugs

Everyone has their own opinion. I hate chrome wheels more and more every day. I hate that bling bling sh*t.

 

I agree with 96 i hate the bling sh!t too. But on the real, your ride is beautiful. Those rims are hot.

 

Im not a bling bling fan. I like the dark look with the polished lip...mmmmm...doesnt look that bad but on a white or black car they would look even better

 

I like it, but you know its what YOU like not others, your the one paying for the mods. I think its a great style to make your car stand out.

Baison - yea, black rims does take time getting used to. i didnt like it like a year ago but when i saw neos photoshop sig with the black rims, it just looked sick. i guess its an aquired taste.

everyone else - thanks for the comments. weather its good or bad. I agree with you guys that it would look better on a black car but at times I think going black rims with black car is over doing "black". its like wearing black pants with a black shirt or white pants with a white shirt.

96tl - yea i have black headlights for over a year now. going for that JDM vip look. thanks for being on the look out for me thou.

well, my project is almost done. all thats left is retrofitted HID projectors [possibly] and tlxracer's body kit. = )

 

Oh I see the JDM lights in the first pic now. Sweet!

BTW, the HID projectors are a nice mod. Just take it slow while you're doing it. I would put 2 sets. One in the headlight and another in the fog.

 

I just think it's crazy to be driving down the road, and people see your car and they can't see your wheels. Looks like your rolling on winter studs. Silver or chrome. Chrome is classy. PERIOD!

 

FIIck that SHIIT, why spend hard earned $$ on black rims. Black rims like that just look fiickin cheap to me. Maybe gunmetal, but black, common, just admit you hate the idea of having to clean bling chrome rims, or silver. I guess the good thing about black rims is you dont have to clean the brake dust off. Please tell me you didnt waste more than a grand on thise wheels and tires.

 

they are 19s definately more than 1G i think. their style looks good. the car looks great. it will look nice in the day but not as good at night. as long as it's not the same as the original colour, they are a great investment. i bought white rims on my black sports car. my TL is dark green, i'm still considering rim colours myself.

i have to disagree...chrome isnt classy. i think silver is classy.

 

I respect everybody here and what they do to there cars. But one thing you DONT do, is put black wheels on it. Think about this, at night your parked somewhere, you or anybody looks at your car, you cant even tell you have wheels. Wheels MAKE the car, wheels are meant to standout.

Whatever you do, do not go out and put a huge aluminum wing on your car. At night all we would see is a giant wing, with no wheels. I am sure this would scare most small children.

Mike89Acord96TL - dont be naive and think that you wont be able to see it at night. it does have a high-gloss finish to it and a 2inch polished lip which stands out which is the look that i wanted with these rims. i wanted that mysterious look when you're driving and your eyes just focuses on that lip with a shiny black center. if i wanted my rims to shine more then yea i wouldve gone with chrome but i didnt want fat disco balls on my car.

oulaw29 - apparently you know nothing about SSR rims, let alone the higher end of the SSR line. infact i bet you didnt even know that these are SSR's because i used Vienna in labeling the rims.
