Everytime I pull out after starting my car, i hear a funny noise in the back for a few secs.

its as if some kind of motor is running (almost like an antenna motor)
Anyways, the other day i slammed my brakes hard while driving setting off the ABS and afterwards i heard the same motor noise (which i've only hear after starting her up and pulling out).

Is anyone else hearing this freakin motor noise/know what this noise is or do i have to waste a stack of cash at the dealership for them to tell me its normal

 

it's probably normal. might be the AC? there shouldn't be any motors in the back of our cars, but if you mean inside the dash then it's most likely gonna be the AC.

I notice the same noise on mine. I had a cadillac with an air pump for the rear air shocks and it would come on periodically and sound the same. It does sound like a power antenna as well.
I'm not sure what it is.

 

I also have a different noise after I start my car in the moning and back up. It sounds like an airplane is flying by. It is definitely coming from the back and I'll have to try again, but I think the noise stops when I stop the car. It's wierd

 

there are no motors to anything in the back except forthe motor for the gas tank..... the only reason you might hear this is because our gastank is under our back seat and if your parked on a hill that might cause the gas to go to the front or the back causing you to hear the motor.

The loud noise I hear from the back is like the sound of a jet airplane from a distance. The only motor in the back that I can think of is possibly an electric fuel pump in the gas tank. I'll have to listen to it some more
