Cruise control???

My wife just called me from the road; cruise control won't work (1997 2.5TL, c. 125K). Light won't come on at all. The book's with the car; is the cc fused alone or with other stuff? Thought maybe if it's just a fuse she could pull in somewhere and have one put in; otherwise she's got a long trip ahead with no cruise, which she's not real happy about! Thanks...

i am assuming that your wife has used the cruise function before and it has worked???

there is a main cruise button on the dash that must be turned on first before the steering wheel cruise control buttons will work...

yeah i think you have to hit the 30mph or is it 60mph with the crusie button pushed, i dont trust anything i cant control, i use it every once in a 6month period, but once you get to the desired speed to activate the cruise control then it'll lite up and you'd be able to use the steering wheel function, but i dont quite remmy the exact speed you gotta be at

Yep; we've used it many times. It's her car, but as I recall when you hit the button on the steering wheel a "cruise" light comes on in the instrument cluster to show it's in cruise mode. Then you control the on/off/speed etc. Anyway, it won't work at all.

There's a button on the dashboard (behind the steering wheel for my 3.2 TL) that contrls on/off functionality for cruise control. Make sure that button is set appropriately.

Mine was locked in the "on" position, no matter if the dash button was depressed or not. It fixed itself after I unplugged it, then reconnected it.

~Cheers~
