HELP! - My radio!

I recently took my car to the dealer for service, and when I got it back the radio would not work because I need to put the 5 digit code in. Well I tried using the code written down by the previous owner in the manual, and of course it didn't work. Is there something else in the process I need to do besides merely punching the code in? So anyway then I called the dealer and they told me that the only way to know what the code is is to pull the head unit out, and tell them the serial number first. Is there an easier way? Seems like a major pain in the ass. Thx

do a search. i know that on 99-03 TL's there is a trick with the antenna or something, but the serial number should be on the side of the CD player and there is another code printed somewhere in/near the glove box.

I had the same problem a while back. And when I pulled out the unit, I didnt find the code. But I took it into my local Honda Dealer and they got me the code.. so you may want to go to your dealer.

Get the serial number off the head unit. Take the serial number to your local Acura dealer and they will give you the radio code free of cost. Taking the head unit and putting it back shouldn't take you more than 30 mins. That write up is awesome.
