Battery Replacement 3.2 TL

I have had to replace my battery twice in about a year and a half now. I replaced a dead one with a $70 one from AutoZone in Feb 2006. It is now bad. I took it to AutoZone. They tested it, found it bad, and gave me a new one--good service here by the way! I am thinking that maybe the way the 3.2 runs the radiator fan on the battery after the car is turned, maybe this car needs a bit better battery??? Has anyone gone with a higher quality battery for their car like an Interstate or other similar "more expensive" battery? If yes, was it worth it? Thanks in advance!!

Only hi power stereo people NEED a badazz battery
You may have just gotten a defect- that happens in life
they should have tested your alternator with the battery installed and car running
How are the batt cables?

I'm running an Orbital battery and it's holding up fine. I can drive my car on the battery alone for about a day before it needs to be charged.

~Cheers~

I will look into the Optima battery if I have to put another battery into this car.
Thanks for the input, everyone!
I took a very good look at my cables because I was hoping to find some corrosion or something in lieu of a bad battery; they look fine.

your cables should rarely go bad unless they are loose and move alot... as long as they are secure and on a good battery, u should have to worry about corrosion etc...

I picked up an Interstate battery from NTB with the 72 month warranty on it. My stock battery went bad after the first 3 years due to a pair of 500 watt 12" subs in my trunk. This continually drained the battery and shortened the life dramatically.

Since then, my wife and I have had a baby so I had to take the subs out to make room for the stroller!
