hey what's up?

can i get pics of your in-dash monitor? I seen it before, and i just want a pic so i can print it out. is there a kit so you have have both your cd-reciever and your in-dash monitor...i remember in your pic you had like foam or something inbetween the two components or something?

i was looking around the internet for an in-dash monitor somewhat like yours, but i saw two models......What's the difference between the Pioneer AV-SYS8DVD Visual Audio Package and the Pioneer AVX-P7300DVD In-Dash Motorized Monitor with DVD? How much did it cost you for yours? etronics has the LCD monitors for about 1100.00 - 1500.00. - was that about how much you spent? is it true that you can only have the DVDs play only if you have your parking brake on or something like that??...that's what i've been hearing....

I know it's off topic but have you ever seen PIAA's yellow ion bulbs on a car before, and if you have, does it look good??

--thanks!

Sure, I'll post a pic when I get home from work in a few hours. As for the kit, its just a frame cut out of ABS plastic. It needs to be done over though, I just haven't had the chance to go see Streeteffectz. I'm not sure about the foam you seen though.

Sorry, but I dont know the difference between those two units. My model No. is AVX-P7000 without CD. Its only a monitor, no radio, no DVD, only video. I paid $750 for it. And no, you dont have to have the parking brake on. To allow that monitor to accept a RCA signal, you have to buy the Pioneer RGB converter. Its the same piece the 2nd Gen TL people are using to get video on their nav screens. I paid $120 for it.

About the Ion Yellow PIAAs, I had them on my car. I hated the way they looked. They were like a peachy orange color. Dont get them. They were ALOT brighter than stock though. I gave them to my friend. Shows how much I liked them. Waste of money. I dont even keep those lights on. If you have superwhite headlights, just get superwhite fog light bulbs too. I have HID headlights, so whatever bulb I put in those fogs looks horrible.

Well I have a Philips HID kit but I replaced the bulbs with Crystal White 6000K bulbs. They look so purple they make MB's look yellow. I also replaced the bulbs in the fogs so all 4 match. You can see the purple color in the small pic in my sig. I'll take a better pic over the weekend if you want.

My car is not dropped and my wheels rub with people in the back. Sad huh? If I drop my car the negative camber MIGHT stop the rubbing. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do when Spring comes. I'm riding on stocks right now. Maybe I'll get a new set of wheels.

the only reservation i have in getting a motorized monitor is that the screen blocks the AC controls. i'd figure that'd be a pain in the butt, but maybe not. hehe if you're selling your rims, gimme a PM cause i might be interested in them.

Wow. I dont know. I would say about $3500 including the headunit. Not sure though, I lost count of how much I spent. I got alot of goodies...

2 5" monitors in recovered visors
2 5.6" monitors in recovered headrests
Pioneer 7" flip out monitor
Pioneer Premier Organic h/u
Pioneer RGB Converter for flip out monitor
Video Signal Amplifer (allows independent video sources for each monitor and amplifies video signal)
Rear View Camera
DVD player
Power Inverter
Custom switchboard in armrest
I'm sure I forgot a few.....

Oh, I installed almost everything myself. Streeteffectz did my headrests & visors but I wired up the whole video system. I did pretty much everything alone though.

its pretty sweet when you do the installs yourself...not only you save money but its just a nice feeling that you accomplished something that impressive.

nice ride...

Yeah its annoying to figure out where everything is gonna go. Its also hard to keep all the wires neat. Hooking up everything is easy, keeping the wires neat is the hard part. Well for me it is anyway.
