wish list for the TL

sup guys, if you read the 2nd gen forum, there's this company that can custom make parts for our 1st gen TL. i think it's only cosmetics though. i'm not sure. what would you guys like if you had a company that would make stuff for us?

hehe i would go for a cheaper body kit (copy of the skipper or mugen)

maybe some door sills.

i dunno, voice your opinions guys.

Same here with the body kit and some projector headlights would be nice. They'll look great with my HID's.

For sure a simple body kit to match up w/ my front lip...And a small simple wing like the Lexus L-Sportline, or the 2nd gen TL Mugen wing.

I would love a cheaper body kit and the metal door sills would be great. I would like some Altezza style taillights and a valve cover.

I know we were suppose to limit it to cosmetic stuff, but how about a cold air intake, turbo or supercharger?

was thinking about buying the 2nd gen navi unit from someone on this board but then i would lose the radio and i dont want to pay for an aftermarket HU and have it put in the glove compartment or arm rest

Definitely a custom mesh for the bottom lip. I've been thinking about how to make one for months! Also wouldn't cost much -- times are tough.

Why cant you make one yourself? By Gutter Mesh and cut it to fit. I did that before but I took it off because too much stuff gets stuck in there. I held it in place with a few tie straps. Worked great and you couldnt even see them. The mesh practically holds itself on though.

I still really want projector headlights. I know someone who can custom install them for me. The only thing is that I'll need OEM HID bulbs, not H4. I just bought 6000K bulbs and I'm not gonna buy new ones. The projectors come off an Audi A4 which make that rainbow color when the move. Another thing making me not do it is if you look inside the headlights, you can see the projector was custom mounted. That would bother me bad. Why cant they just make them for our car?

I hope we are both talking about the lower lip and not the grill. I already did the grill.

Did you fit the gutter mesh in front of the black plastics on the air dam with plastic tie straps? Didn't the edge of the mesh scratch up your bumper? I can't see how it would stay in place.

Yes I mean the lower lip. It goes behind the black plastic pieces, not in front. Do you have a 3.2 or 2.5? The bumpers are slightly different. Mine is a 3.2. I cut the mesh a little larger than the hole, went under the car and got it though from there. You have to take a few screws out. Once you get it in place it stays pretty good and was nice and flat, not bent. You have to be careful though because that stuff can scratch up everything. I wouldnt do it again though. I was always pulling stuff out. Leaves, twigs and feathers. Its annoying.

Oh, now I got you. I know what you're talking about. I have a 2.5 and the bumper is different. I agree with you. Even if I could put it behind the lip I wouldn't. Like you said, it would trap debris. Also, the reason I want to mesh the lip is to hide those ugly black plastic things. Hey thanks for your help anyway.

There really isnt any advantage as to light output. It just looks ALOT nicer. They emit a rainbow color when the car is moving or hits bumps. Have you ever seen an Audi A4 coming down a block? Thats the look I want.
