I've got an 08 and the maps are....lacking. I've had to resort to using Smoke Signals as they've proven to be more accurate. Too many road updates since it came out 10 years ago. Is this dealer only?
VIN specific?
Download link and then burn it do a DVD?
Thanks.

The 08 RDX runs the Navi from a DVD reader under the center console. You can access the DVD reader from a side panel on the console located in the front passenger seat area (might have to move the seat all the back to see the rectangular door you can pop open with a screwdriver). Acura only comes out with updates once a year in the fall around Oct/Nov for $199, the price drops to around $149 late winter/early spring, and down to $99 around the start of summer. I usually wait until the prices drop to the $99 range before I purchase. No difference in the new $199 disks compared to the 6 month old $99 disk other than price. Acura doesn't provide any data on the updates or give you a chance to preview to see for yourself. You just have to purchase and hope the updated DVD covers your area of travel.
Some folks sell their old update DVDs on eBay from $35 to $100 depending on how old the DVD update disk. From my experience from purchasing new from Acura or used on eBay is about the same. The DVD data (local roads/hwy, businesses, home addresses) can still be 6 months to 2 years out of date no matter which route you take. Having a smartphone as a back-up is a must have.

OP, throw me a PM if you're interested in getting a semi-recent disc for cheap. All depends on when shit has gone up in your area. The 2014 disc is basically updated as of mid-2013, so if you're at the fringe where stuff is still being built, or perhaps you like to search by business name vs address, you might do better with something newer.
Come see me than run your mouth than . Don't respond on my shit running your mouth. When you inserted you dumb ass into my conversation that means you think you can hang. I gave you and address come see me if not shut the fuck up
Try that again in English, please.
I haven't been - this isn't your shit, or even your thread.
Indeed, and I'm hanging just fine. Loving every minute of it.
I have much better things to do than waste my vacation and gas money on a trip to Iselin. Besides, I'm already getting bored. Must be that real life thing calling. Enjoy puffing out your e-chest on the net.
