Dead tweeter, replacing didn't fix

Anyone have any recommendations on tracing down a tweeter that doesn't work? 2010 tech package - car was side-swiped recently and both doors had to be replaced. Once the shop had it all up and running, the only thing I noticed was that the passenger tweeter wasn't working. They tried swapping in a new one today, but still nothing. Any other common fail points that will result in only a single speaker not functioning?

Not an expert but if it was side swiped there could be damage to the wire/cable itself it might be severed somewhere probably around where it goes into the door. A multimeter might be able to tell you if there is a connection.

Tell the shop to start tracing the wire.

Oh they are, I'm just curious if anyone else has gone down this road before. They're doing right by me so far.

My only complaint is that Enterprise keeps sticking me in a rental with a ton of miles. Why is a Caravan with 52k still in the fleet, anyway? My original rental was a Pathfinder with 42k. Both cars have more vibrations and noise at freeway speeds than my 146k mile RDX.

Complain to corporate, generally the local stores don’t care much and will give you the run around. As for the speaker issue, it’s probably a damaged wire as everyone else has said before me.

Oh, I bitch them out every time I return a shitty car, but unfortunately my work schedule doesn't allow me the time to swap cars easily once I drive off. But this is the main reason I never voluntarily rent from Enterprise anymore. Should get the official diagnosis on my car this afternoon, hopefully an easy fix that gets me back in the seat sooner than later.

If it’s a cut wire you’ll be without your car for awhile. It’s not easy to trace the wire, it’s very time consuming.

If you complain and can’t pick it up same problem as me. You might get some money back or more free time in the vehicle if you needed it.

Problem was with the actual wiring harness for the door - yet somehow only affected the tweeter. Lock, window, light, all else worked fine. Car is all fixed up and back on the road.
