Audio help 08 RDX base

So, I used an factory amp bypass and replaced the all the door speakers with Kenwood component speakers( KFC-P710PS ) ran all new wires and added a 960w Kenwood KAC-x542 amp, have a another 600w Kenwood class D mono amp( KAC-6104D ) running two 12” Kenwood Woofers.. it sounds great. The question I have is why the x542 amp sound comes right on in accessories and when I turn the car on.. the sound is severely delayed between 30sec - 5min.. or not coming on at all.

Well first of all, explain "an factory amp bypass"....how did you accomplish this, or where exactly are you getting the signal for the x542?
Where are you getting the power to turn on the amp (connection of the power control wire)?

Show some pics of the installation too.....sounds like a nice setup!

On the x542 I’m getting remote power from one of the charging ports on the other amp I’m getting getting it strait from the fuse box with a fuse tap piggy backing from a blank fuse slot. The amp bypass harnes I’m using will allow you to do so without using LOC (Line Out Converters) or without expensive units like the Audio Control LC7i or cutting into your factory wiring.
the Factory Amplifier Bypass harness to run Balanced-Differential outputs from factory premium head unit. Plug and play. This harness lets you run aftermarket amps from the factory head unit while keeping the stock look. As soon as I figure this problem out.. I’ll definitely post some pics.

Oh snap! I didn't know that these bypass harnesses were available. Do you have the link for where you can get it?

Ref your problem, can you tell if its a power problem after engine start, or is it a signal problem (power comes back on immediately but no signal from head unit)?

I’m assuming it’s a signal issue. It’s has a voltage meter on it and I had someone use a multi meter when starting my truck.. it showed power going to the remote wire.
I got the bypass harness off eBay. A guy makes them for Honda/Acura base models only.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the Mercman harness.
I see 5 RCA leads on that harness, what do you do with the extra one?

You need a video of how it sounds, I want to hear the bass 🔊 ! Also in the future you can take out your spare to mount the amplifiers and the capacity under the trunk floor. This way you’ll have more room to carry stuff and have that clean look too!
