ok, here's the deal.. i MAY be moving to a 2008 RDX from a 2006 TSX.

Now, i actually think the TSX has a great audio system (but lack of mp3 was disappointing).

Sound wise - would you rate the RDX audio system superior to the TSX in terms
of sound? Both tech and NON-tech packages. Even though the RDX has a subwoofer, I've read alot of people saying "there isn't enough bass"?

rdx superior. the tsx breaks down at higher volume and its midranges dont handle bass well. the imaging in the front of the tsx is weird. even though its a smaller cabin area, the rdx has better sound and more richness.

rdx rear midranges lack power and punch & just lack overall. the tech pkg will add the twiddlers behind the rear passengers to fill out the sound better. the els system is a step up from the base system but not as big a step up as one may think.

you will def notice a difference going from tsx to the rdx. now rdx base to rdx w/els.....

The RDX w/tech has the best sounding stock system around. The 10 speaker ELS is truly amazing. All you need is your favorite CD and the let the show begin!

 

 

I do like the sound emitting out of every speaker, passengers share the same feelings. Pretty remarkable IMO.

 

I went from TSX to RDX-Tech last Summer - the RDX is FAR superior! Although DVD-A is not widely available, the ones I have sound incredible (try Sting or Beatles LOVE) on the ELS system. Even regular CD's are MUCH richer, with the rear speakers creating a "simulated" surround effect that is wonderful. While I'm no crazy audiophile, I've never heard a better system in a car....

 

heeh, thanks everyone! i have already picked up my 08 rdx-t and yes it is truly amazing and far superior to that of the TSX.
