Purchasing in November or December

Any thoughts on this? I heard it's best to purchase at the end of the month since some volume gets a bonus if they sell a certain amount of cars that month. It's almost the end of the year, do you think there will be a customer rebate next month? Did it happen in the past with Acuras?

rebate...doubt it. they are already offering APR deals 2.9/4.9 on 2008's. Just stick to the invoice price.

Yes but not everyone gets the low APR deal. If there was a rebate, some ppl might even get both.

Yet another reason why you should be wise with your credit. I got the 2.9. there was no doubt I would get it but I asked the salesman what was my FICO and he came back like this "your score was 831 - I never saw one that high before!"

If you want rebates, your gonna have to get slow moving GMs or Chryslers. They dont make boat loads of RDXs to keep it a sellers market.

I bought mine on Dec 30 last year. Everybody on here was within $250 of each other, so if you are informed I dont think the timing makes much difference.

Sometimes, there are inside-incentives to motivate salespeople to sell as many cars towards the end of the year, in order to achieve their monthly goals, so you may run into a jolly salesman and get a great deal. Start throwing up offers, such as below invoice figures.

To really get what you want, deal with an internet salesmen by contacting and meeting them at the dealership. Most of the time, you will get the better deal than anticipated.

That's what I'm hoping for. I'm targeting volume dealers for the below invoice deal. A few hundred wouldn't matter if the gas mileage was a little better .

If you only deal with the Fellet manager, it doesn't matter when you buy. They get paid by salary, not comission, so all they want to do is units. Typically, you will get anywhere from 200 under to 500 over invoice, depending on how well they move cars.

So much for going with the internet sales manager, His first offer was 1560.00$ above invoice! Plus Trade in offer was 1000.00$ below what I was expecting! So much for being a repeat buyer, It didn`t figure in at all. What the HeXX is dealer prep. 499.00, then charging me 18.00$ for a temp tag? They have a great service dept., But Sales!
Maybe, I was expecting to much. All I`m asking for, invoice and a fair trade in. I`ll let him know today thanks, but no thanks! I do belive time is on my side.

Contact as many dealers as you can, say within 150 miles of your location, and ask them to give you the best price for the EXACT RDX you're looking for. Then play them off on one another until you get close to invoice price.

It is very possible to get 1k below invoice on the RDX Tech, dealing with an internet salesperson; I got mine, just before the 2008 models were rolling to the parking lots.

It all depends on timing and salesperson (internet). Keep searching.

I would give him the proposition of a few hundred over invoice take or leave it. If he wants to move a unit and make sale, theres no reason why it shouldnt happen, if hes an asshole or its a bad dealer, then ur better off not even bothering. That 499 dealer prep charge is BOGUS

good luck !

What do you expect? It is only the 7th day of the month. There is no incentive to lower prices right now.

Wait until the week between Christmas and New Year. The dealerships will be extremely slow as everyone will have blown their wad on holiday gifts. You'll get the best deal you can get at that time because it is end of month, end of quarter, end of calendar year, and a holiday which is a slow car buying time.

Do credit unions provide lower rates than other banks?
