I wonder if the RDX will be capped at 180km/hr just liek most japanese cars do? Has any current RDX owners try to go pass the 180 mark yet?

My Honda S2000 is not capped too. I would think I have the right to kill myself driving at high speeds, especially if I don't kill anyone else.

 

I know the CL Type-S had a 140 mph speed cap.

 

that would suck especially since the speedometer goes up to 260 km/hr

Do you have an S2000? I have a 2004 with a comptech supercharger. I recieved a very detailed questionaire about several preferences from Honda. It asked for ratings for HP and torque, hardtop convertible vs soft top. it had 3 engine options. Now with the turbo I think they are thinking about an RDX type engine in the S. That would be pretty cool if the could bump up the redline a bit.

Yeah, I have a 2002 Suzuka Blue s2000 and I love it. I remember the first time I saw the s2000 at the 2000 autoshow. I said to myself "what in the hell is that? That will be a classic someday." I jumped on the S2000 when the Suzuka Blue was first available. That is a beautiful color. Now that it's discontinued I'm happy I got it. I don't drive it much because of the weather in chicago. I have < 11K miles on it.

I have not done any mods, I'm not into that. I like the car just the way it is. Does the 2004s redline at 9K RPM? I head they dropped it to 6K RPM for the US market. I was thinking about rescuing a couple of used S2000s in good condition before the redline change but now I'm thinking about adding a Z350 in the Spring.

I have done 120MPH but I didn't try to push it because I'm past the age of living reckless. I mostly just cruse and admire the style.

I think it's the best car honda has, in it's class of course.

 

How did this thread ask about the RDX and all the answers have been about the s2000? Any of you guys actually own one?

I have an S2000 and an RDX too. 2004 S2000 lowered the redline to 8300 rpm, but increased the engine to 2.2 liters which adds a little torge. In a straight line race, they end up being the same.

I have not gone much above 120 either, not so much for danger either

Off topic again, sorry. What color? I keep my open for a used s2000 in mint condition, but my friends thinks keeping two of the same car is dumb. They just don't understand.
