Car Won't Start!! - Starter Issue or Electrical?

Yep, the 98 3.0 wont start. I'm trying to determine if its my starter but i think its more of an electrical problem. I just got back from a long drive, and a half hour later tried to go out again and it wont start. The locks, lights, radio and everything work. How would i know if its my starter? The car doesn't try and turn over at all.

I've also been having a problem with my lights dimming when my blinkers are on, and this problem has been getting gradually worse. Its been particularly bad recently and am wondering if that has something to do with it. When i put the keys into accessory II the dash/gauge lights aren't as bright as they usually are. I have a video in .mp4 format I'd love to upload but have no idea how.

Ok......ideas?

If it's your starter, you will hear it clicking but not turning over

dang! i had that problem yesterday. i don't know too much about engine stuff, but i was driving for about an hour then parked for about 20 min, then tried to start it again and it wouldn't start. i just kept trying to start it while pushing on the gas a little bit and then it got going, wasn't really sure what happened though...car runs fine now.

I keep seeing stuff about being low on gas and on a hill. Is it something to do with the fuel pick up? do explain....

alt and battery......500 bucks down the tube.

I still dont think its that, but hey, if not, then they can keep figuring it out. I need the car and dont have the time to do it myself, since i'm out of town more days then i'm home. I'm soooooooooooooooo FUCKING PISSED OFF.

Thanks for the help guys.

no, that was the weird part, i was on a flat Target parking lot and had a little more than half a tank of gas. it was pretty hot though, im not sure if that's why. but i have been low on gas AND parked on a steep hill before and yeah, its hard to start my car like that.

i would just get the parts and do it yourself. but if time is an issue, just let them do it.
