Where are the Real Modification Threads?

Hello all... New One signing in...

My GF just got a 99 CL... She hates the twin tip exhaust, and wants some kind of intake...

Where would I go to find some quality NON-generic parts? I do not want 6'' chrome tips and a chinup bar for a spoiler... I looked through most of your threads and they all relate to Xenons, flip flop trunks, and stereo equipment... I know the CL isnt a race car... but what gives? Searches on the internet return little else but TOTAL CRAP!

Help Appreciated. Thank you.

whats up...

get an intake for an 99,00,01 V6 Accord...AEM seems most popular and best gains...and most expensive.

exhaust can be any universal muff, just gotta figure out which one works the best for you (looks, sound, size...etc).

procarparts.com has clear bumper lenses, for a little cosmetic...

internet doesn't feedback shit for the 1g CL...

I have an Injen CAI and I love it! But in all honesty, a generic intake will yield the same gains as any name brand...

Greddy sp for exhaust 94-97 accord must be modded to fit 3.0 tho. Injen or AEM cai off the 98-01 accord.

What's her beef with twin-tip exhaust? Honestly I think it looks better and more sporty than single tips. Remind her that most if not all the BMW M's and MB AMG's have twin tips.

i dont know why u didnt find anything. just about every modification has been talked about from the shitty tornado to a complete engine and tranny swap.

as far as a spoiler nothing looks to good except for the oem one and the small trunk lip.

intake i would get an aem v2 cai, or ingen

She was looking at Accord V6's before I mentioned Acura to her... She really like the way that the Honda (although 'fake) had dual exiting mufflers.

The BMW M class all have Dual Exhaust... (e46 M3... etc)

I think she wont mind the single muffler, just have to find something that looks a little better. She wont want it to sound like angry bumble bees either... So this will be tricky. Nothing all 'chrome' definately need a black powder coated or annodized with a chrome tip or tip sleeve...

Anyway, thanks for the feedback already left!

Hmmmm....

Let's see . . . .

I've posted how to install a tranny cooler: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=73356

How to customize OBX headers for the 3.0: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...threadid=82498

Many threads on nitrous: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/searc...der=descending

Helix Power Tower Install: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...er+dustbuster4

There are many threads on lowering spring installs (just do a search)

ACTUALLY, there are threads to modify just about everything on the CL. Just do a search.

As for the exhaust, I like the dual canister look:

Internet engine parts can be found under searches for the 1998-2002 Accord V6.

Suspension and other body parts can be found under searches for the 1994-1997 Accord (specifically the 1995-1997 Accord V6).

I like the dual tips too. My new magnaflow has dual tips. Besides, pretty much all luxury cars have dual tips, or dual exhaust. If you dont have dual tips, and your muffler is loud...its going to be called a fart can!

She really wanted the dual exhaust. Whatever it is has to be quiet and free flowing. The dual canister looks pretty good.

you need to learn how to search if all you came up with was results on xenons and flip-flop trunks, there have been threads on pretty much every single mod you can do to our car
