found a donor car that i may be able to use to replace the tranny, body panels, and whole interior, or i might just transfer everything to this new car. It does have rear end damage but the rest of the car is dent free

.....car with mammary glands....hmmmm.....
What did it say?
It looks nice! Now you've got the other side to do.... Plus, I never realized how pretty that teal-blue paint is; it looks iridescent in this picture:

replaced both CV axles, oil changed (and the wife's too), and ATF swap out. Those f-ing spindle nuts are a pain in the ass! Also noticed I have to change out the tie rods too.

I didnt get any aftermarket rotors or anything like that. My wheel was shaking terribly whenever I started braking so I just got them replaced.

Finally got these f'n seats in! Never again! They're slightly crooked compared to each other (drivers/passenger) and the mounts aren't the prettiest but they are very comfy! They are definately higher up than the stock seats as well and there was no way to change that! So happy this ordeal is over lol!

Ordered all the timing components today including seals, tensioners, pulleys, Honda crank tool, valve cover gaskets, and spark plug tube seals. Gonna be my first time doing a timing belt but have a nice in detail video from Eric The Car Guy to go buy. Already watched it twice lol! Gonna either powder coat or paint the valve covers while they're off.

omg your cl is clean as hell....i love how it sits dude.
EDIT..those headlights with the black stripes on the corners dont look so bad on your car. personally id want to give the projector setup another go and just black it out myself along with the projector installation. but im nervous cause i f*cked up the first time..hahaha...replacement headlight housing isnt cheap. but now i have a set of projectors that have been collecting dust for several years.
anyway. what i did to my cl today.... i bought a whole bunch of those smd led panels from ebay cause my girl needed some replacements in her crv. figured id get some for my car as well. i bought some for door lights, my maps, my dome, and my trunk (15 smd led panel)...unfortunately they BARELY fit in my map light housing and dont fit at all in my door light housing. fits in the dome perfectly though. didnt even try to fit them in the trunk...

holy crap I had an epiphany at work tonight. I dont need to fix the ABS on the car to pass inspection. It only throws the ABS light, not the CEL light.. Forest through the trees.
Just need to remove the bulb, and I just saved $1500.
btw, there will be more pics of the car, two things, tire rack sent me an f'ed up wheel, but I got it tonight and two I had hit a raccoon this fall and need to push out the very bottom of the bumper.

As for me I installed my PWJDM quick releases and ordered a new trany with 107,000, with a 2 year warranty on parts and labor for $1200. Id say its a great deal than rebuilding mine for $2300 and then having no warranty if it doesnt last.

okay, that ABS light trick worked, just tapped the bulb into the oil warning light. So it still comes on when you turn the key to on, but goes out when you start it.

Finished the timing belt and also valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals and grommets and the car won't start. Beyond frustrated as I checked for top dead center at the very end and it was good. Gonna recheck everything today if the rain lets up! Anyone know what the two plugs below the rear timing cover are? One of them won't click into place although I feel it's all the way down.

ok goody goody, I just keep finding problems. I knew I needed new parking brake cables, but then figured out my right rear caliper has been seized for quite some time and the other rear seems to hardly work, hence why I stretched my cables. So I'm going to change out both rear rotor and calipers.
Then it started loping out of no where, luckily I picked the correct solution first, PCV valve. That fixed it, but now my steering pump is squealing and I realized I really need new front rotors (the captive kind).
So I feel like that guy that has his Chevy Nova sitting in the garage with the wheels off and the engine out... not literally, but I get it now, it has become a project car. I totaled what everything should have cost me at a stealership and it comes to around $5500. As long as I can do those rotors, my grand total should be $1700 incl the wheels and tires.
Shows what being handy is worth.
