Yea you were totally right. Took forever to feed the wire. And it took just as long to put the panel back on. Gah. Good thing is I got it all done.
I'm working on interior and exterior lighting today. Trying to get ready for wekfest and blox. Although ill prolly get mad lazy hahaha

Got my Pioneer Avic-X940BT all installed, ended up running the GPS antenna and bluetooth mic both up the driver side A-pillar and mounting the antenna above the mirror and the BT mic next to the mirror so they're cleanly installed and out of the way. Forgot to take pics of those installed, but they look really clean there. Here's a couple pics of my new radio and the interior all back together.
The old Pioneer DVD unit
And onto the new, this is the 3rd pioneer double din touchscreen that I've had in this car.
All installed and powered on
This is by far the nicest pioneer I've ever owned, happy to be able to wirelessly stream music from my droid over blue tooth, and I've always wanted a GPS in this car, even though I rarely take it far. Definitely happy

As many of you guys know, I converted my speedometer cluster and HVAC over to all led's years ago, however I never got around to doing all the switches in the car, so I got some surface mount bulbs and swapped all of those out. There were 2 bulbs however that could not be easily swapped out since they had square rubber mounts, so I had to get creative. The fog light switch and the cruise control switch both had these bulbs. What I did was get some prewired 3mm led's and soldered them directly to the contacts and wedged the led in as far as I could with the resistors. Not perfect but they match way better than the blue/green stock bs. Let me know what you think
Here I did a test fit of the LED which fit just about perfect, below you can see the side by side comparisson of the old bulb and what I was replacing them with.
Wiring was tricky since the contacts are VERY small and there's not much room to work with especially if you still want the switches to fit properly, but after some careful alignment work, I was able to get the wires trimmed and soldered on
Here's the 2 switches all complete and ready to test, was definitely a pain, but worth it in my opinion.

Thinking about getting rid of my CL, recently. I've been driving some newer cars recently, and I'm noticing more and more quirks about my CL that I've been ignoring/living with. Now that I'm out of college and am going to be having a bunch more income than I've been used to, a newer car would be really nice. Otherwise it's going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $1-2k to get the CL back up to good shape, so it's a matter of deciding how much I want to put into the CL with my priorities in life shifting towards autocrossing along with daily use.

damn im about 3 quarters of the way done with the inside of my car and im getting super lazy. i got random screws everywhere and tools on the ground i didnt even know i owned haha. was gonna start on my interior lighting but got called into work. guess im holding off on it again haha..
anyway ive been searching (ebay, acuraoemparts, etc etc) for the wood trim for the drivers side. anyone know where i can get that piece and not have to go through the dealer (even though oem parts websites are almost like the dealer).
also. my drivers side courtesy light on the door is out. thought it was just the bulb but then i bought some new ones and still doesnt work. the passenger door light works fine. you guys think its a fuse issue? if so which fuse would that be?

What did you get rid of your CL for?
I know right? I had such big plans for the CL, just no money to act on any of them while I was in college. Now that I'm out, there's a bunch of cars looking better and better for a daily/fun car than the soft, heavy ack. The lines on the car are still some of the best (and least represented) out there, imo, but I'm not sure what my primary form of entertainment is going to be going forward (autocross has been fun, but I'm not sure that I'm going to want to do that on a weekly basis, and car audio was also a lot of fun the last couple times I've gone out). Since I was driving an 08 Subaru Legacy the last couple days, and finally got back to my CL, I forgot how much I enjoyed this car (I just moved it around the parking lot behind my apartment after work today, the Legacy was an auto, my CL is a 5-speed). Hopefully driving back and forth to work over the next couple days will help restore the lost spark with the CL.
I am going to be in Tokyo next week, so who knows what I'll see there. Too bad I won't be there very long, and it's a work trip, but whatever.

Had my CL back in 07'. Got rid of it for an 04' TSX. Was it better? Well yes and no. Miss the styling and uniqueness of the CL, it is unmatched IMO. AND theyre becoming more rare. If I could have a 2.3L 5SPD, Id jump on it immediately.

That's the combination that I have, which is what makes me really hesitant to get rid of it. Looking under the hood of my car today, it looks like it needs at least a new cam cover gasket, if not a new head gasket as well, which is no fun. Although it would make me go through the top end of the engine and replace anything in there that may be not 100%. Unfortunately, that's probably going to raise the fix-it total to more than a few grand, which is no fun, and further reduces the budget for a new daily driver.

We'll call this phase 1. Passenger racing seat w/sliders (ebay replica brand), seat bracket and harness ordered (needed for street tune by Looney). MP will begin to work on the car end next week. HID's, steering hub, oil temp/pressure gauges, suspension bushings, brakes, extended studs (just the side i didnt finish), fix wiring issues from last race event, 4" intake extension, greddy emanage, and a camber kit that i can think of from the top of my head. I'll post more of whats to come when this is complete.

^see wish i had the courage to do the shit you do. your CL is crazy CRAZY bad ass.
just finished the wiring for the int. lighting. all i gotta do now is plug the tubes in. currently researching fiber glass methods to be able to redo the trunk but the trunk build will probably come after the alternator / big 3 install.
will post pics in my photo gallery thread once everything is finished.

I was cruising on the highway when the car started to sputter. I could only lightly gas it or it would bog out. Got off the highway and popped the hood to find one of my ignition wires (Bosch) popped right off the plug. After plugging it back in and 20 more minutes it happened again. 97Blackack warned me long ago that these wires were known to not stay put. Needless to say I'll be installing NGK wires and Iridiums this weekend.

I know I know lol! My question is, are there any other wires equal to or better than the ngk blues cuz blue wires would throw my whole engine bay off color wise. Also I recently replaced the valve cover gaskets and the 6 round seals on the valve covers when I had them powder coated but when I pulled that wire all the way out it was covered in oil. Bigger problem?

Phase 2 is nothing more than tuning and a repaint. Turns out phase 3 I might be in over my head on this one (I'm currently unemployed and have been since I've moved back to CA last summer). The suspension tuning aspect I can handle financially, but the build of the aero parts (underbody tray, front splitter, rear diffuser, reroute exhaust to side exhaust to make room for the mounting points of the diffuser) I'm uncertain of. I'll need another sheet of metal, plus hardware and labor for this. And the labor is what's going to hurt. On the bright side, once I start working out here, its game on.
