but that is just me.
i guess a car with seat heaters, cruise control and all that nice shit should be a DD and a car that is RWD and not as nice should have gotten this treatment.
but, like i said, i respect what he did. i fully support the "to each his own" saying, but i just think that when he gets numbers back it wont be nearly as high as he hopes, and if it is as high as he hopes, it will be bogged down by the hefty-ness of cl's. but that is just me, and i have alot of experiance when it comes to turbo cars.
again, i really respect what he did here. ive never seen it before, and in that aspect i will pay dues where they are called for. i just think it would have been better applied to a different chassis.

I love the fact that there is only a handful of turbocharged first generation CL's on the road. It's not easy to boost these cars. It's a challenge with alot of custom fabrication and planning, but in the end you end up with something that's one of a kind. I've learned a ton from working on my car and I'm sure it'll be fun to drive when it's finished. That alone makes it worthwhile for me and I get the feeling that the other guys on this message board with similar projects have the same mindset.

Just got the power all hooked up and the vacumm lines to the BOV. It was nice to turn the key and see all the lights some on
Oil lines and radiator hoses and Fuel pump. then it will be START UP TIME

and the j series motor i jsut didnt know much about, i assumed the internals where not very good for boost, but it sounds like you got a rebuild.
as far as my 240 goes, i dont even remember what ive done to it. it sits at my mom house most of the time about 200 miles from where i live. but all the regular shit...fmic, boost controller, cams, safc, 3" exhaust and blah blah blah.
right now im collecting parts just to make it more drivable. swapping a 15 year old motor into a 15 year old car and letting it sit for 2.5 years takes alot away from the drivability. as it stands it has no PS do to the pressure line not liking pressure any more, no AC because sr20's are a pain when it comes to that, no heat because the heater core connecter through the fire wall was leaking, and a sunroof that needs to be sealed up. and a laundry list of other shit.
but it sure is fun!

So there ya go thats about all I can do with it as you can see, I know I need to redo those ghetto ass turn signals and seal that light up but you get the idea. It dies look way better in person. Not because it's my car bu the pictures always look like shit when I put them up 2-3 weeks I'll have it started and give ya guys some sound clips and backed out of the garage pictures
WOW.....thats nowhere near street legal is it lol. If i were you'd have to find a way to fit everything in there w/o having a HUGE gap missing in the front of the car. It wont matter once u hit the gas though
Yes it is a little ghetto, that was a loner grill I have another one that I will use for the final one, but it still, will have the shit cut out of it, Yes the exhaust comes out the side of the car wastegates dump out the bottom of the car
I am going to put a big car show on this year sometime at the end of august I'm still looking for a place to host it and I'm trying to get AEM and some other sponsers to give me some shit to sell like t-shirts, widebands and stuff like that I'ts not all together yet but in the works I hope to have it all nailed down by the end of this month.
