Transmission Trouble-HELP!
Transmission Trouble-HELP!
OK, well the tranny finally went out at 138k with no real warning signs. Does anyone know of a good transmission place in Jax? If not, I know a lot of folks had the tranny fixed at Aamco -any recommendations? prices? The dealer wants $3500 plus labor
Thanks guys

(if I have to dump this $$ into it, I am going to be driving it for a long long time). Plus I talked to a dozen different tranny places and the Aamco guy seems to be the only one that knows his shit.
What do you guys think?
A DE tranny would be great, but I can't spend that kind of $$ right now. $2500 is my limit.
I definitely say you pop the extra money and go for the DE.
If you go over to v6p.net I believ ethey're having some sort of group buy or something of the sort.
Why pay $2500 + $600 for an aamco tranny that probably won't last any longer than the autotragic honda?
On top of brand new (not just re-inforced) internals, you get other goodies I believe, such as torque converter and LSD and what not.
