Sticky Problems *pic*

So when I bought my car there were a couple of sticker on it. Some came off without any problem but there is one that is putting up one hell of a fight. The peanut butter trick won't work on this sticker, actually one on top of another one. I lost patience and tried to scrap it off with my swiss army knife, that was REALLY dumbof me. Now I have a big paint sratch and an ugly sticker on my bumber. Do I need to take this to a paint shop where they could grind it off or is my technique all off?

I dunno if it would work with that type of sticker, but a lot of the time, a blowdryer works. Back your car into the garage, if u need to plug the blowdryer in somewhere. Then just hold the dryer up close to the sticker for a couple minutes, and it will heat up the sticker and kinda make it melt, then hopefully it becomes easy to scrape off with some sort of rubber/soft plastic scraper. I had one of those dealer stickers they throw on the back of your trunk next to the "Acura" lettering, and the blowdryer technique worked with that, so its worth a shot. Good luck, hopefully you dont have to actually take it to get it grinded off and pay for new paint and what not.

**EDIT** After reading the post above me, yes...i forgot about Goof-Off. After I used the blowdryer to scrape off the majority of the sticker, then I used Goof-Off to clean and wipe everything completely off.

I have those here at my job. I know exactly what they are. They have a special adhesive on them. I put one on this guys car because he parked in my spot. That friggin sticker residue is still on there, he cant get it off. Those stickers are great when you wanna mess with someone. Oh, sorry you have to go through this, but those stickers are no joke.
