Ok...let's get this straight

i search and search about exhaust for a 3.0. i see ppl say to use a 94-97 accord. is this from a V6 or V4? some say no modification is needed and some say i have to custom fit it. so, do i? is this also 2 door or 4 door (accord), or that doesn't matter?

thanks

Yeah, call around or find some one that has a muffler job already. You spend a fortune for the pre-fab exahust when you can get a universal muffler and custom pipe work done for much less.

this rear section u are talking about is the "'B pipe", which is the middle portion between the cat and the exhaust. if i don't want to get this rear section, is there any ehxaust that would just bolt on to the stock B pipe?

When I had mine done, I picked out a muffler I liked (and heard), and they put the CL up on the lift, cut the pipe behind the resonator (removing the resonator), then cut all the supports for the rest of the piping and muffler. THey then took new exhaust pipe (2.5", stock is 2.25") and bent it to be exactly like the orignal pipe. They welded it in and welded the muffler on. They did a really good job (I got to watch the whole install), and there is actually less "play" in the new muffler then the OEM. They put in new hangers and all.

All this for around 280 (w/tax) including the muffler (3A Racing). I know the muffler is not top of the line, but it's a low resonating muffler that calms down on the highway so you are not agervated by continous noise. Sounds really impressive.

I am in the same position.. I know I could get custom pipes done but my queston is which mufler is recommended that doesn't resognate so much and make so much noise (besides the 3A racing) ... what are some of the exhausts you guys are using on 3.0's ONLY

Well, 3A racing prolly isn't quite enough. It's deep, but can get loud. Not sure what quite ones are out there.
